  • consistent tone, durability, and feel
Style: Light, 9-42 Size: 1-Pack
I have these on three american fenders; am deluxe tele, am pro strat, and an am pro 2 strat. I play an hour or two a day and change out strings about every two or three months…about the time they start sounding dull…i don’t clean my strings. The string change timing is about right to oil my rosewood board (1 guitar) check and polish my frets, and give my guitars a good maintenance cleaning. The strings work and sound perfect for me. I bend and slide alot, but seldom use my trem on my strats (decked to dive bomb only). I have never broke one of these strings (9s or 10s), they stay in tune well, and have a really great quack tone on my strats, and a nice twang on my tele. Great product and value my style and guitar care regimen. ... show more

  • Good value for what they cost
Style: Regular, 10-46 Size: 3-Pack
You’ll generally get a 3-pack of these for cheaper than you would get a 3-pack of Ernie Ball Slinkys or D’Addario XLs. Comparing to those two, they are priced about right. They are good strings, but somewhat restrained in tone compared to the other brands. They also wear out quicker than the Slinkys or XLs. I play a lot and therefore wear strings out pretty fast. I’ve found that the extra money spent on the other brands is worth it, as I like the tone better on either of the other brands and they both last longer. All that said, these do sound good, if not remarkable, and represent a great value for the money. If you play infrequently and are not looking for something with heavier or brighter tone, they represent good value for what they cost. Reviewers who said they had strings snap while putting them on, or within 10 minutes of playing, are simply doing something wrong. There’s no reason that should happen if they are strung up properly. ... show more

  • Nice for the price
Style: Light, 9-42 Size: 3-Pack
There are so many different types of guitar strings on the market that it's hard to know what's best. Prices vary but I have found that if I can get past the marketing ploys, just a basic set of 9's for my strats and Tele style guitars and 10's for everything else is all I really need. They will last a good amount of time with cleaning after using them. I think these strings sound as good as the more pricy brands out there. ... show more

  • Perfect string for the strat
Style: Light, 9-42 Size: 3-Pack
There isn't any other string more ideal for a strat style guitar than the Fender 09. It give to my guitar that sound that I away like.

  • Excellent choice for a Stratocaster
Style: Light, 9-42 Size: 3-Pack
I was using the 350L bullets on my Strats but they just were not lasting long. They showed wear almost immediately, requiring a string change every week. That gets old in a hurry.... I didn't notice that these weren't bullets when I bought them, I wish I had bought the bullets as they just seem like a better fit for a Strat. But, what I did like about these as that they are color coded for installation. The ends are just the right size too. These are just a bit heavier than the 350's but have the same sound. So far, no notice of wear yet either so I think I finally found my perfect Fender Electric string. They sound fantastic, bend well and were easy to install. I have 3 Strats and 1 Telecaster, these will be my strings of choice for all of these. I like buying the multi-packs. They are inexpensive and each set is packaged individually. I change strings often too, so always want plenty on hand. Strings can make or break a guitar. Put bad strings on a good guitar and it sounds bad. Put good string on a cheap guitar, and it sounds better. Put these on a high end guitar and you have the perfect formula. Everyone has their own personal reference when it comes to strings, this is my choice for Fender Electrics. 5 stars. The search is over ... show more

  • Well worth the price I paid
Style: Light, 9-42 Size: 3-Pack
I expected these to be very low quality compared to the more popular brands but they surprised me by their feel and tone. I bought the lightest guage and they are super easy to bend, hold tune well, and sound good. Are they better than Ernie Ball and D'addario equivalents? No, but not worse either. I think this is a great quality string for the price and worth buying over the Chinese no name brand strings that are available on Amazon. I have over 30 guitars and bought a bunch of these to keep my running costs lower and so far no complaints even after multiple packs. I will probably get 10's next time I buy strings but I have about a years worth to burn through before needing strings ... show more
