  • It’s just flawless
Color: Black
This is an amazing guitar! it’s my number one guitar I bring to my open mics and it’s extremely fun to play but it also is perfect straight out of the box and I love playing this.

  • It’s better than you think
Color: Sea Foam Green
A solid choice for any level, especially at this price. I’ve always loved the Telecaster shape, and this one feels really nice. It’s very light, and the neck is very comfy. After I swapped the strings and set the intonation, it has no problem staying in tune. The only issue I had was the input jack, but I plan on upgrading that. I really like the satin finish on the body, and I find myself reaching for this one a lot more than my other guitars. The pickups sound good. The neck is very smooth, and the frets are a perfect fit. I’d highly recommend this to anyone, it plays so nicely. ... show more

  • For the price, I can't believe the quality
Color: Sea Foam Green
Just a fantastic build, from top to bottom. It's just the Squire and its just the Debut series, but the build quality is excellent. Ours arrived with no flaws at all in the paint, the hardware the fretboard, nothing. Just tune it and you're good. I'm very satisfied with this and I might buy my kid the Strat version next! ... show more

  • Good gutter for the price need better tuners.
Color: Dakota Red
It is a very good guitar if you take it to a luthier after you get it and have the Luthier do a setup on it and replace the tuners with a set of locking tuners such as Schaller tuners or those really expensive Hip shot tuners. You can get a better telecaster style guitar from Firefly but the price on it is going to be a bit higher. And for that extra cost depending on the firefly tele you buy you are going to get bald edge stainless steel frets and a bone nut instead of a plastic one. And some Firefly telecaster models come with locking tuners already on them with the exception of their Madcat Tele. So after setup and adding locking tuners the guitar became a $300 instrument. For around the same cost you can get the most expensive model of Firefly Telecaster. But, once you get it you are going to need to get a setup done on it anyway. ... show more

  • Very good beginner guitar. Comparable to the Sonic
Color: Black
This is a review for the Squire debut black matte telecaster. I tracked it straight from Washington to Colorado. Packaging was in great shape. The guitar I received, is a perfect starter instrument for a beginner. It was cut correctly at the nut, intonation is good and the action only slightly higher than my preference. The strings are good and I won't need to change them out right away. Any beginner that receives an instrument like this one will be able to scan the code and learn to play. Now, for the nitty gritty. The pickups were slightly high towards the 6th string, so I adjusted those. The jack fit is slightly loose, but works for now. The switch and the pots are good. No grinding and the switch gives a solid click when it is moved between positions. The nut is plastic and cheap, but cut correctly. The bridge is top load. The angles are correct so that the saddles are about as high as they can go. (No floating saddles from lowering the action). This guitar has a plain neck, no skunk stripe and it is plain wood inside the truss rod hole. Very basic guitar. But it has what I wanted, the neck feels identical to my other Squire telecaster. I have the Squire Sonic in surf green. These are great modding guitars. I'm still finishing my Sonic mods, so now I have a guitar to play while I fix the paint on the other one. (I filed an armrest into it among other things.) I am an intermediate player, amateur wood worker and enjoy tinkering. I think Fender/Squire really did a good job of competing with the cheap Amazon guitars! ... show more

  • Great starter electric guitar
Color: Sea Foam Green
My son started learning to pay about 2 months ago. We purchased a nice high end acoustic and he wanted an electric. This is a great well priced starter electric and the color is awesome.

  • Great value/ mod platform
Color: Black
Squier by Fender Telecaster Debut in matte black is a good deal. Pros: -finish was nice, just try not to touch it with oily hands as everything will show -priced right for a value - Easy to upgrade hardware and pickups to transform into a higher quality guitar Cons: - Plastic nut that isnt cut well, jagged pieces contribute to fret buzzing from open to about the 5th fret - Fret ends at bottom are easily felt, but bot sharp - Tuners arent terrible but will be one of the first items replaced (current tuners ratio leave a lot to be desired, takes a lot of spins to change the note) More cons than pros, however the cons are easily overlooked. Get this is you have the ability to either so a basic set up or have one done for you. ... show more
