    • This is a beautiful and comfortable guitar.
Color: Aged Cognac Burst Style: With Gig Bag
I'm a new guitarist. I've been playing for about 6 months now and have found a new love. I started playing on an old pawnshop Yamaha dreadnaught that I've had for years. It's an OK beginner guitar, and has been great to start. I wanted to get a little better guitar, so I went and bought a Fender FC135. I quickly learned something from the FC135....frustration. I just could not get good sound from the guitar. After learning a little, I discovered that the action is too high on that guitar, which was really causing me problems. So I looked for another guitar and found the Fender Acoustasonic Stratocaster. I LOVE that guitar, but couldn't get that true acoustic sound from it. That led me to my next guitar purchase, the Fender Newporter Classic. This guitar is so comfortable to play! The action is perfect. It is one of those instruments that you bring it in close and it just fits nice! My playing improved drastically once I started playing my Newporter Classic. I'm not saying that this guitar will make you a great player, I'm saying that this guitar is truly a well made and comfortable guitar. When you have a great instrument that is a pleasure to play, you will play more, feel more success, and will naturally practice more. One complaint I have about my Stratocaster is that it doesn't have a tuner built into it. The Newporter has a very nice tuner that is built flush into the side of the guitar. If you're not looking for the tuner, you probably won't see it. My only dislike for this guitar is the amp jack. The jack is built into the same part as the sling nut. It hasn't been a problem yet, but I worry about my sling hitting my wireless transmitter. Again, it hasn't happened to me, but it is a concern I have. I just think it would have been nice to have the jack in the usual location below the sling nut instead of directly behind it. Overall, I LOVE this guitar. It really is a pleasure to play. I will grab it and sit down to practice with Fender Play for 15 - 20 minutes, and end up playing for a couple of hours. I would HIGHLY recommend this guitar. This guitar and my Stratocaster are my favorites. ... show more

    • Amazing!!
Color: Mahogany Style: With Gig Bag
I really really love the is guitar. All solid wood - excellent fretboard. No sharp points. Maple binding and inlays. Electronics work well. I was lucky enough to pick this up from the Amazon Warehouse. First one was destroyed during shipping - the back of the guitar was completely crushed. I waited for my refund and luckily there was another warehouse one - this time arrived in perfect condition (couple small scratches that I can deal with). I highly recommend this guitar. Great body shape and style. Love Fender though!! ... show more

    • Finally found my acoustic guitar
Color: Aged Cognac Burst Style: With Gig Bag
I can only describe this guitar as everything I had been looking for in a acoustic guitar! It’s easy to play and I really have a hard time putting it down after I start to play it! Worth every penny

    • A lifeless guitar
Color: Mahogany Style: With Gig Bag
It's not that it's poorly made.. the fit and finish is good for a relatively inexpensive guitar. I have a lot of guitars and this one doesn't project much of a sound...lifeless is the best word I can come with.

    • Disappointed
Color: Mahogany Style: With Gig Bag
Not the quality you would expect from fender, not worth the price, quality is exactly what you would expect from a Chinese knock off of a previously high quality product that was once an American icon,so disappointed with Fender for allowing its name to be associated with this low guality workmanship!sign of the times ... show more
