  • So far so good...👍🏻
No clue whether this is a good guitar or not — I did a ton of research and this seemed like the best for a newby. Bought for my husband so he could learn during Covid and I thought he would cry when he opened it — I’ve never seen him happier with a gift! It looks beautiful, tunes perfectly and he plunks away with no issues right out of the box - but we’re definitely not the ones to say whether it’s good or not. It won’t make you a good guitar player overnight, I can attest to that. 😉 ... show more

  • Decent guitar
Not a bad guitar. A few issues, the frets hang over just a bit and are sharp so need to be sanded down so they are flush instead of stabbing your hand. The bridge pins also need a little work to stay in after changing strings. Would be better if they were wood instead of plastic, so will be replacing those asap. With some Elixir mediums on, it really has a nice well rounded tone and projects nicely. Not sure $200 is the right price considering the frets and the cheap bridge pins, maybe less than $150 is more appropriate. All in all, happy with the purchase and the guitar as a whole seems well made. ... show more

  • Easy action and great sound
Very easy action for beginners and was surprisingly easy to play. The mahogany adds an extra layer of crispiness to the sound that is already of high quality for such a low price point. Great for strumming or picking. This model is the concert size (cc-60s). It’s a bit smaller than a dreadnought but I found it to be more comfortable to play while sitting down. Regardless of its size, you can still get a booming sound out of it and it doesn’t sound too “folk-y” at all. The gig bag does its job well for being a soft carrying case, although it doesn’t have much padding. All of the extra add-ons were great to have as well. Overall an incredible value. ... show more

  • Not good
I thought I was buying a brand new item. This guitar has scratches and scuffs on the front some on the back. It also has one tiny ball point hole, and lots of messy glue residue. It looks like a refurbished or used item. Anyway, the frets are long and sharp especially on the 12th and so frets, they catch my fingers. Intonation is almost good on the 12th fret except the A string which is always a little sharp. This guitar is sold by a third party, but fulfilled by amazon. It's going back! ======== Edit 01-10-20 So I asked amazon to replace the guitar I reviewed. The replacement guitar is even worse. There are more scratches, the neck has too much glue oozing out where it meets the body. The frets are spiky and sharp. I went to my local guitar center and tested their cc-60s and I'm surprised at how nice the display was. Maybe the guitars sold by Daves Music are seconds, meaning these did not pass quality control and or these were made by students or new workers at the factory and they are sold very cheap to resellers. Just a guess though. ... show more
