HOWEVER I received a plate that has a chip on it right out of the box, which is very disappointing. I did reach out and the customer service was very nice, and ordered me a new salad plate which should be shipped soon. The plates feel very sturdy, they are heavy which is nice and nerve racking at the same time because i don't want to drop it in the sink and damage it! I love these dishes I sent them to my son for his birthday, and I finally was able to give him a gift that he really liked instead of money to go buy something for himself… He needed dishes. He loves them. I was over at his house I used them their wonderful quality, I don’t see any. Scratching by using them. The color is great sizes. These are so nice looking and I have received several compliments on them. I do have some chips in them but that is more from my kids being rough on them, I think, than the actual dishes themselves. That being said, one of the plates did come with a chip. The bowls are decent sized, but I do have to say that the coffee cups are more teacup sized than coffee sized, but that could be my coffee obsession talking.
