I've been using this FENCY Laser Hair Removal Device for a little over 3 weeks now and will continue to use it weekly, hoping this time investment will give me hair removal results, I have not yet noticed any difference in hair texture or growth. The first week I used it twice, and I've followed up once a week since then. It is easy to use with only 2 buttons, and pretty straightforward. The instruction manual is poorly translated into English and leaves much to be desired - but I did some web searches to get a general idea of what to do and answer general questions I had. It takes me about 45 minutes to complete a session on my legs, underarms, and bikini areas. The device is easy to use, feels kind of cheaply made, but is ok to hold and not too bulky, (see note below about cooling holes and flash). The automatic function is what I mostly use because I have a lot of surface area to cover on large areas like my legs. You hold the flash button down and it automatically flashes about every 2 seconds when skin is sensed at the base by the light. Because of the 2 or so second delay, this can be pretty time consuming - if you're looking to do both your whole legs, this is not going to be a 5 minute process. The bulb also starts to get warm and I try to give it a couple small breaks to cool, right now my tolerance fluctuates between the 2nd and 3rd level per area. The included glasses are cheap and have some sharp edges on them, but I appreciate that it came with eye protection - this light is blindingly bright and you need to protect your eyes. The flash also emits out of the cooling side of the device, I try and make sure the cooling holes are pointed away from the direction of my face to avoid any extra light exposure to my eyes. Because of this, I personally would not feel comfortable using this on any portion of my face because I'm afraid even if I close my eyes the light could potentially be damaging. When I'm using it on parts like my knees or ankles that are curvy and leave part of the light exposed, I make sure to close my eyes to help protect them from the light. I don't know if this is a necessary cautionary step, but better safe than sorry for me. THIS IS NOT A CORDLESS DEVICE! The item must be plugged into an outlet to have a power source to work. I use this IPL in my bathroom so I have use of a large mirror, and I wish the cord was a couple feet longer. The outlets in my bathroom are above the counter and for it to reach down to my ankles, I need to be right up against the wall basically. I'm going to continue to use the IPL device each week in the same manner that I have been. I know with these IPLs there is not instant gratification like waxing or shaving, you have to consistently using them in the first few weeks to get results. I'll come back and update my review and/or rating with findings or lack thereof in a few more weeks. I'm hopeful for results.

This laser hair removal device seems to work really well. It does exactly what the instructions say it will, as far as I can tell. I used the lowest intensity because my skin is pretty sensitive in a general sense, and I have not been using it long, but I am happy with it so far. They provide an instruction manual, the laser device and its cord, a disposable razor and a set of oversized sunglasses. I was pleased to see that they provided the sunglasses because it says in the instructions to use eye protection, but I had expected to find something more like a pair of goggles and, as I wear eyeglasses, I was concerned that the sunglasses wouldn’t be of any use to me and that I would have to purchase goggles from a secondary source. However, the sunglasses that came with the laser hair removal device are oversized and they actually fit over my eyeglasses. Two small complaints that I have are: 1) that my laser hair removal device looks a little dingy or dinged up, so much so that I actually had the thought that it might have been used and returned cross my mind and 2) that I think the instructions could have been a little bit clearer. For example, I ran the device over my skin in a similar pattern to what I use with my razor, but I am not certain if I should be keeping it in place until the device blinks a specific number of times, or if I am doing it properly by keeping it in motion pretty much the entire time. Overall, though, my skin seems to feel pretty smooth and I have high hopes that it will have a lasting effect. Update: Not only has this device slowed my hair growth so that I can go a week or more with no shaving and still have smooth legs, whatever it does to decrease the hair growth has also decreased the swelling in my legs. So, if you or anyone you know has swelling in your/their legs and feet, this could potentially help with that. It was a very unexpected benefit!

At first, this thing feels super complicated to operate. It hardly comes with any comprehendable instructions and you need to refer back to the Amazon product page along with some miscellaneous research on the internet in order to feel some semblance of confidence at even attempting to use this contraption. It comes with a pair of sunglasses (yikes!) to protect your eyes while using, which really made me feel like I needed to be careful not to permanently damage my eyesight. Needless to say, it took me a long time to actually work up the courage and confidence to begin using this device. Some of the things that I wasn't wild about was the fact that you have to have this plugged in while using so it can feel a little cumbersome as you try to maneuver this around your body. Just go slow and don't rush the process no matter how tempted you feel. The light blips every couple of seconds. This also makes the process not a quick one. Plan to set aside some time to do this or do different body parts in different sessions. I still haven't seen a difference in my hair growth but I am still holding out hope.
