In the original order of five handles for $16.99, five handles were supposed to arrive. Only one was in the package, which made for one very unhappy Amazon customer. Calling Amazon, they made good on the missing product, refunded my money, and suggested that I try again since the handle that was sent was excellent quality and I still really needed the electric fence handles. Dubious, but trusting Amazon to bail me out if the order was short again, I did reorder the set of 5 electric fence handles. They came through quickly and are indeed, excellent quality. The wire hook has an effective shape, the inner spring has a good balance of tension and is fully enclosed in the body of the handle, and the loop at the wire end is sturdy. Not as good as less expensive handles. I've only used two of them and one of those failed on first use. Spring inside lost tension. Either it broke, or displaced. Can't take these apart, so regardless of the issue, it's now junk. UPDATE: after 5 open and close cycles, the other handle is now junc, too. Very poor quality. ... show more

We have had a problem with other gate connectors rusting. Haven’t used these one enough but they seem to be much better and more durable.

Good spring action. Rounded curved ends are easy to use with branded rope shock wire. No chaffing, and it hooks directly to my high-tinsle fence without chaffing the wire

I bought one pack of 5. Easy to install on the bear fence wire. I use these handles as a "gate" into my bear fence. I have 20 hives that need protecting. I recommend purchase.
