  • I killed it! RIP binder machine
As a special needs teacher, lamination and Velcro are like eating and breathing. The binding machine did pretty well for about 8 months. It has a lot of difficulty with laminated materials. No issues whatsoever with cardstock or paper. It does okay with thin lamination but if you laminated a paper with a pouch and personal laminator, it is not going to punch through. I still gave it 4 stars because I honestly feel like any binding machine is going to have trouble with thick lamination. It worked well for everything else. A little bummed it’s broken now. I even attempted surgery to fix it and now there is definitely no saving it. If you’re looking to bind just papers and cardstock this is an amazing binder. ... show more

  • Exactly what I was looking for.
I would have paid Office Depot to bind my documents, the same price this machine costs to do exactly the samething I did. Well worth the price. The only thing, one needs to be aware and make sure all the pages to be bound are place in the machine the exact same way. If the document covers are the same size as the paper you are bounding the same setting needs to be used on all pages. If you punch the cover on the cover setting and it's the same size as the paper and you then punch the paper on the letter setting your documents will be misaligned. Only use the cover setting on coversheets that are larger than you letter size papers. Another tip, don't try and punch too many pages at one time. ... show more

  • Good low cost comb binder
This is a good product for small jobs or if you have the time to assemble your projects. Since it is "human powered", it does not punch through a large number of pages. The plastic combs are easy to open, but the 1/4" requires some attention if you want to bind more than 10 pages.

  • machine works great
After a few tries we we finally figured out the correct way to put in the combs - so that they open from the bottom. We have made 15 booklets of 90 pages each with no problems. For us, the best number of 20lb pages to punch was 10 or less because it took less force. Also, it seems that 90 pages plus clear cover and back was really the practical maximum load for the 5/8 inch comb. ... show more

  • Great for Homeschoolers
I'm homeschooling this year and have a ton of ebooks. Finally decided to buy one of these, and I'm so happy with it. It's easy to use. Since it's still fairly new, I can't speak to it's durability, but it's easy to use.

  • too expensive
super simple, only makes holes, few pages at the time, it is hard to predict where the hole will start. I would give 1 star but I believe myself is big part of the issue: I am assuming I dont know how to use this, that is why three starts. But I can not be blind to notice this was over priced.

  • Must have for teachers
I love this binder! I have to bind nearly 100 student workbooks every summer for my Earth Sciences classes. It's held up well to all the work I've used it for. I do wish it could punch more pages at a time but regardless, it's awesome.

  • Amazing and a game changer for this teacher
OMG. Where has this been the last 15 years of my teaching career? No more spending money on binders for my visuals and books that I make. Sometimes I’d get frustrated when I didn’t line the papers up and ruin the plastic cover but otherwise it’s amazing. I used a GF to help pay for it.
