I forgot how nice Felco’s are until I bought another pair. I’ve been experimenting with ARS and other high rated Japanese pruners over the past few years and I must admit these Felco’s feel much better. ARS pruners are definitely quality pruners and do have some features Felco could copy for instance the ARS spring and locking mechanism. Both brands cut well and are made of quality metals but, these Felco’s have them beat on ergonomics. I’m pretty bad about losing pruners so I’ve had many different ones over the years and these #11’s are my favorite, as of today. ... show more

After 12 wonderful years with my F2, I decided to treat myself to the F11. I had changed the blade on the F2 and it didn't have the same perfect balance afterwards - maybe I need to change the spring or tighten/loosen the bolts a bit. Anyway, I talked myself into getting the F11 on the understanding that it was the same as the F2 but you could change both the blade and the anvil. To my surprise, the F11 is more different than I was expecting. If you look at the pictures, the aluminum on the F11 slims down to accommodate the replaceable anvil. The thumb catch, which was so perfectly positioned, is sunken and less easily accessible. So I have some misgivings about switching to the F11 that I thought I would share but my hope is that I will get used to it and love it as much as I loved my F2. ... show more
