I was so excited to receive this ladder! I forage in the forest and have wanted to have a portable ladder to be able to reach finds such as chaga, lionโs mane, chicken of the woods, and other fungi that can locate themselves high up in trees. It is already handy around the homestead and takes up little storage space. The ladder, once properly assembled, appears to be sturdy and stable. There are warnings about safe use. When releasing the ladder back to compaction, the sections can drop quickly and with force, so folks will need to be prepared to keep fingers out of the way. It came with a pair of gloves. Nothing in the manual or other materials indicate what the purpose of the gloves is that I can find. They are not needed to open or collapse the sections and will not protect your fingers if one of the sections comes thundering down on them. I do think this is a good ladder. Folks just need to be VERY careful opening and retracting it and follow the safety instructions. It is a bit heavier than I expected. Suggestion: because it is designed to be mobile, it would have been beyond awesome if it came with an over the shoulder, cross-body, or some other carrying gizmo to be able to carry it for some distance, especially if also carrying other things.

I've used this type of ladder before, and they are really handy if you need an extension ladder that will get you comfortably up onto a first story roof and want the ladder to take up minimal space when stored. This ladder collapses small enough to fit in a car trunk of the corner of a home closet. When extended, it feels solid and secure, but there is a bit of flex at each joint that you'll only notice when there's no load on the ladder. Extending this is easy. Just pull upward on the top rung and each step just snaps into place. You don't have to extend it all the way if you don't need full height. Retracting the ladder is a bit more difficult. The instructions show that you should unlock each side one at a time, while grasping the vertical column to hold the particular section extended (doing that takes pressure off of the second latch to make it easier to unlatch). That process works OK, but the ladder is heavy so your hand will be holding a fair amount of weight when you get down to retracting the lower sections. And if you slip, the sections might retract with your hand in there. It all works fine, but you need to concentrate on what you're doing and practice a bit while you're not in any hurry. I actually prefer to lay the ladder on a horizontal surface like a picnic table and retract it that way so there's no weight on the joints. Overall, this ladder works well as long as you're careful when retracting it.

The media could not be loaded. This ladder is not only very durable, it has a little weight. It goes up easily. Be sure to watch your finger and read the danger labels when lowering. It's can also lower a little off, adjusting slightly in the process. Otherwise a good ladder.

This is a very unique item that seems very useful in Europe where the space is limited. It's heavy, but when compacted down is very easy to store and has a included click strap. I did not pinch my fingers. I unlock on one rung and two rungs up hold onto ladder. The feet are excellent. "Normal" ladders should have feet like this and they keep the ladders base very secure. Better than normal ladders. The load capacity is 330lbs which seems unbelievable. My concern was could it accidentally be unlocked and slide down. After many attempts at failure I couldn't make it fail. This is an extension type ladder. You have to lean this ladder against something to ascend it. Compared with most aluminum ladders which have a triangle shape that don't require leaning. If you have a small storage place and need a tall ladder then this is the solution for you.

This ladders are very useful and easy to carry since they collapse to a size were is easy to carry and to put on your truck or small car. And easy to carry from one place to another. They are very sturdy and they stay in place they won't move easily from it's place. It's easy to use is very practical we love this kind of ladders, also they are good price!
