Easy to assemble and easy portable from room to room as needed, has kept the rooms so much cooler. Definitely worth the price. Reliable and keeps you cool and comfortable. Not too loud, but sounds like a regular wall unit.

I purchased 3 of these units to keep bedrooms cool when our upstairs AC unit went out. Here are my thoughts on them: They seem sturdy enough but the outside is almost entirely made of plastic so they may not hold up well in the long run. They are on the heavy side to move around but the attached wheels work well enough on our medium length carpet. The controls on the unit and the included remote are very simple as listed in the listing, and not what you would find on a higher end unit. This is most evident in fan speeds. There is only a low speed (F1) and a high speed (F2) and both are pretty loud. The actual cooling seems to be working well but not as well as advertised. These units are capable of cooling our smaller bedrooms (150 - 200 sq ft) during the hotter part of the day (upper 90s so far) but this unit struggles in our larger bedroom (around 350 sq ft). During the hot part of the day this unit can keep the temp at around 83 - 84 degrees fahrenheit which is a little to warm for me. My biggest complaint about these units (here's the catch) is the cheaply made exhaust hose, hose connectors, and window adapter that come with the kit. They are all made of very cheap plastic with no insulation. The connectors that are supposed to screw on to the exhaust hose and connect to the AC unit on one side and the window adapter on the other side do not easily screw on to the hose. This is partly because of how flimsy the exhaust hose is and partly because the connectors are poorly designed. Because of this it is a battle to get the hose connected at all and virtually impossible to make an airtight seal where the hot exhaust air isn't leaking back into your room. The hose will also easily come out of the connectors if you attempt to move the unit, touch the hose, or look at it wrong. If you are buying one of these units I highly recommend that you invest in a good quality, third party exhaust hose and window kit! Overall I am thankful to have these units for the cooler air at a lower price but am taking off two stars for the noise, lack of features, inability to effectively cool a 350 sq ft room, and the horrible exhaust hose/connectors. ... show more

Good basic air conditioner. My apartment building does not allow window units, so this is a good alternative. I did need to replace the window adapter kit, though that could be due to my never setting this type of air conditioner up.
