Since I've already gone through several surgeries, I wanted to try conservative treatment first. This wrist support has been a huge help. I have just developed carpal tunnel in my right wrist, and the pain was keeping me up all night. I'm new to it all and was in tears at what's happening to me that I can't write anymore, can't button shirts, tie shoelaces, etc. Someone told me to get a wrist brace to wear overnight to at least be able to sleep, so I ordered this one, just for my one wrist. Oh my goodness, this thing totally immobilizes my wrist. I don't feel any pain at all during the night, and I'm able to sleep. It's solidly secure with three sturdy velcro straps wrapping around the hand, wrist and forearm. It's comfortable, too. This is a solid 5 stars for me and I recommend it if you're suffering from carpal tunnel or anything where you need to have your wrist stable and immobilized. I don't wear it during the day because I think the wrist needs movement and flexibility (even though it hurts), but night is when I need it and it absolutely delivers. ... show more

Broke my wrist bone. Radius to be exact. Cast finally came off after 6 weeks and needed to wear a wrist brace for 2 more weeks. The doctor prescribed a wrist brace for me but I decided to buy an extra one just in case. Very glad I did. The one the doctor gave me was very uncomfortable. Very very rigid. Makes my wrist hurt every time I try wearing it. And it was hard to wear. The doctor literally had to forced it onto my fragile wrist !!!!! I was squirming as he pushed it on !!!!! Not very pleasant!!! With this brace, which has the same side restriction also the metal plate which supports the bottom of the wrist. The metal plate is removable for laundry purposes. For me, it had the exact same three point protection as the one the doctor prescribed. I examined it carefully. And there is no problem wearing it since you can open it up more. There is a material area which gives you more room to slip the brace on. I can’t say it’s as comfortable as not wearing anything. But this brace for me is comfortable. It’s adjustable so you can put it on yourself without help plus you can adjust accordingly. So if you need more support you can. I am glad I bought this brace. Excellent wrist brace. I've tried many others, but this one has the best fit (for a petite woman). Most wrist braces are designed for a large man. Well made, and I like the cushion, but not good for skinny - medium arms. The hand strap is too long and the Velcro is only on the end of the straps. Unsure why they would design it like that rather than make the whole strap Velcro.
