Although this wheelchair may seem pricy, it is worth every penny. I purchased this wheelchair for my mother who is small in stature and because it is lighter than normal sized wheelchairs. My mother was uncomfortable in the standard sized wheelchair. This wheelchair fits her better. She can easily lock the wheels. I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user. I’m able to walk, but only for short distances. I use this when I’ll be out for long periods. This in particular has been great for my first wheelchair. Extremely lightweight (19 pounds with everything attached). The leg pieces and back wheels can be detached very easily, making it even lighter. Perfect for getting it in and out of the trunk. I will definitely get something more suited to a full time wheelchair user if I ever get to that point, however it perfectly fits my needs for now. This wheelchair is every bit as light as advertised, which makes it ideal for taking places for my wife, who has had PD for 15 years. It’s half the weight of her current wheelchair, which makes it much easier in my back when getting it in and out of the car. My only complaint is that the footrests to not lift off as easily as on her current chair, I have to use some pressure and tug a little, rather than simply lifting them off, but I am grateful that the company produces such a lightweight chair. ... show more
