The light fixture is larger than I expected for some reason. It was a pain to put together and a pain to install. We had a hard time lining up the holes with the screws. Once we got it up it didn’t screw all the way in. There’s about a half inch before it reaches the ceiling. We still like it though. Love the industrial farmhouse look. ... show more

Product is simple to put together but difficult to install because there is nothing to support the unit while connecting the wires. I finally taped each set of wires together, connected the whites, taped the connection, the same for black, finally the ground. The price was great. I’ve seen similar looking light for $150, so for $30 this was quite a bargain. But sometimes you get what you pay for, I guess. There are only 4 screws to assemble the main piece of the light, but each one has to go through 3 components simultaneously. There is almost no way to align and hold these pieces together while inserting and tightening the screws. Once you get two screws in, it gets easier, as the three pieces are now mostly held together with the 2 screws, but good luck with the first one. The instructions are pretty useless. I completely assembled the cross pieces, when I realized the canopy has to be assembled with the cross pieces. It makes sense once you understand it, but the instructions are not really clear on that, and assembling the cross pieces WITH the canopy is the nightmare I described above. Also the instructions are quite clear that a ground wire needs to be attached, but nowhere in the assembly steps does it show where the ground wire goes. I gave this 3 stars because of the price, and it’s not a bad looking item once assembled and installed. YMMV. ... show more

The packaging could be better as well as the light sockets. The four large rectangle pieces are shipped in pairs in a plastic bag. However, there is no separation between the two rectangles in each package and they rub on each other in shipping. A piece of paper between them would save the resulting rub marks. The light bulb sockets are very cheap, and it feels like the bulbs won't screw in, but they eventually make enough contact to work.
