My puppy loves his new house! We set it up without the top door because my pup loves his freedom. It was the reason I purchased this crate; I didn’t want to have him locked inside. It is very sturdy without the top panel so I am very happy with that. The crate was easy to assemble. The instructions were clear. No extra screws so don’t lose any. The bottom tray seems to be small and constantly moves around but not a big deal for us. The door is well made and sturdy. I don't see a way for my puppies paw to get stuck anywhere! It's easy to put together and it's durable for the most part. I bought this because it's supposed to be inescapable and my small/medium sized dog loves to escape at any cost. The base was completely destroyed the first day I left her by herself and she has already bent the bars where she was trying to get out from. This was a perfect and great kennel. I did however receive one the the latches broken off the top of the kennel. However, I just zip-tied it closed and that did the trick. Would definitely recommend to anyone, this crate. Great price too.

Really wanted to love this kennel. Bars and sides seem so much sturdier than most wire kennels.Latches are secure, too door does not have give. But there is a sizeable gap in the bottom where an anxious or determined dog will destroy the tray as it allows too much movement. Several panels also arrived with the paint flaking from the corners. Returned because of the bottom gap of several inches and virtually free floating pan. ... show more

This crate has no metal bottom (floor). It only has a plastic floor pan which can be shoved out the sides by a dog. It is also easily chewed up. Once it's gone a dog can easily escape by nudging under or flipping the crate. Even if they don't escape they can damage the floor below. I can't believe there is no cage on the floor section ...it just wide open. ... show more

I have a pitbull/ great dane mix. I bought this crate because it had good reviews for the price. This is the 5th crate that my dog had destroyed. First off it is poorly designed. If your dog can easily escape crates they will get out of this one. On the main door on the side of the crate is a smaller door, which doesn't latch all the way across to the main frame of the crate. Within 20 mins of using this crate the first time my dog figured out how to open the small door. We had to used heavy duty zip ties to keep that door from opening. Once he figured out that the top of the crate is also a door he was able to get out of that door as well. When we made sure the latches were completely secure on the top so he could undo them, he pushed so hard on it he flipped the entire crate over... which leads to the next issue. There is no wires on the bottom of the crate. The tray slide in and sits directly on the floor. So of course when he flipped the crate over the tray stayed in place on the floor. Finally today he was able to push out the wires on the end of the crate. Overall this crate was a waste of money. I would not recommend for any dog who destroys or is just smart enough to figure out how to get out. ... show more
