This is a nice size tree. I have 1 cat that is very spoiled and also very picky. I finally got rid of her old tree because it was an eye sore. This is a bit smaller, which I love. My cat instantly took to it. I have seen her in all levels including the little house. It's very sturdy as my girl is not dainty lol. She spends most nights sleeping in the top level. It's very pretty, so I don't mind people seeing it now. There are plenty of scratching areas too. As for assembly, it's very easy. You really don't need the instructions, it's kinda self explanatory. It's very easy to attach pieces too. If you are worried about that, don't even think twice. I promise you it is very easy. It's a very sturdy piece. Like I said, my girl is not dainty and she jumps in and off and it does not move, tilt, sway or anything. This is a quality piece and even if you have more than 1 cat, there is plenty of room to share. It's a great value too. I paid more for a lesser quality in a big box store. Our kitten loved this cat tree right away and played with it before I finished putting it together. The balls have bells in them so he's addicted to playing. The tree was easy to put together I could do it 6 months pregnant no problem and it’s super sturdy which I didn’t expect for the cheap price. I love the green.     • For Kittens, my adult cat was too big for cubby space on elevated platform

I started to assemble the unit, and while the cubby hole was challenging to get together, I got it set up, until I tried to attach it to the first floor base. The one screw that was sent to secure it to the base was too sort; I tried for over an hour to get it lined up and screwed into the base before I decided that I needed to go to the hardware store to get a longer screw. Before that happened, my cat took an interest in the cubby hole sitting on, but not attached to the platform. As hard as she tried, she could not stand up in the cubby hole, nor could she curl up nicely in there to take a nap! I decided that this unit was meant for kittens, not adult cats, and gave up on assembling the unit, and returned it. If you can’t get the cubby hole screwed in, the upper unit would be unstable. The fur was soft, but only the two square resting places on the poles had a cushion. The rest was just soft fake fur, and the gray fur color is nice. It would be a good choice for a kitten. The rest of the screws made the unit sturdy enough, except for the one screw that holds the cubby hole in place. An Allen wrench was included to make assembly easier. I am unclear if the attachment for the first floor and upper floor would be sturdy enough… I think so, but it has a double long screw to hold one pole, and a long screw with a washer to attach the one pole on the top - I did not finish the assembly, so I don’t know if the poles were sturdy, or wobble. I gave it 4 stars because I did not like that the cubby hole was only held in place with one screw, which is too short. ... show more

My cat is happy! This cat tower was easy to put together and there were plenty of parts. Instructions are easy to understand and the diagram was helpful. The poles that go into part “c” were a tad difficult but nothing that an impatient person like me couldn’t handle. The color is nice, the screws are great quality and it is fairly stable for a small cat. I would attach it to the wall to be safe. The height of it is perfect for our needs and I do think if it was any taller the base should be a bit larger. The perches are tiny. This isn’t made for really big cats. My cat is about 10 pounds and he fits into the cubbyhole but if I had a larger cat I would probably choose another cat tree style. I did put a towel inside the cubbyhole for some padding until I get kitties blanket washed just for some cushion. My cat has not used the scratch posts or board yet. I’m 5’4” tall and this hits about collar bone height. Overall this is a nice, inexpensive cat tower. I would buy this again if I had kittens. ... show more

It was easy to put together, and my cats all love it. But the stair material has fallen apart in just a months time. There is no way to contact customer service. Amazon needs to do a better job when selecting vendors for Amazon.

This is great and definitely worth the price! My cat only uses the top bed... but a win is a win. It is nice and sturdy and though she doesn't scratch at it I feel good that there are many places for her to do so if she wants in the future. As she warms up to it she might play with the toys on it too but as of right now this is the best option i have tried for a nice and tall, compact tree! ... show more
