  • Perfect mic for radio and podcasting.
Style: SL40
This mic is WAY better than the Shure sm7b. My podcast is also a radio program syndicated on 3 radio networks and their affiliate stations so audio quality is essential to what I do. I record episodes with this mic into a Zoom Podtrak P4Next and the mic is so good that I do not need to run eq or compression on the p4. This means in post I don't have to edit for tone because the mic already delivers a perfect sound and this saves me time. You won't be disappointed with this mic. It has a better sound than other radio mics like the Electro Voice. It's amazing that a mic under $100 sounds so much better without processing than a $400 mic. ... show more

  • Two words: Get It!
Style: SL40
I really wanted a Shure SM7B, but never thought it was worth the $400 price. This mic is not a direct rival to the SM7B, but I believe it's the best mic for someone on a budget that wants an SM7B looking mic with great sound quality! I have been using this mic for several months now and it has impressed me every time I have used it. I have an audio interface, so I only use the XLR mode. With that said, the buttons on the microphone only affect the USB side, not the XLR. I do wish the buttons worked on the XLR side, but it's not uncommon for XLR mics to not have controls on them. I do a lot of gameplay recording, streaming, and discord with this mic and it has wonderful sound quality for everything. It does a good job of rejecting background noise and, when partnered with RTX Broadcast, has virtually none. The build quality is superb for the price point with all aluminum construction. The only cons I have found is that it definitely has more plosives than the SM7B if talking directly into it, and that the swivel mount would look a lot better with chamfered edges like the SM7B. If the XLR connecter was routed onto the mount it would also be a huge plus. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would by it again without hesitation. ... show more

  • Great value and versatility
Style: SL40
For what you pay for, you get an excellent mic. I found for my case that it wasn't loud enough to past through a noise gate at times with both the xlr and usb connections, making the mic cut out often. Some people will need to have a db booster if they plan to make the mic more sensitive. However, if you are just upgrading from a cheap mic from a headset or laptops, plan to only use microphones for zoom calls/voice chats, and don't mind the mic to be 2-6 inches near your face, you will find that the mic can deliver that well. Just make sure to have a decent stand to hold the mic since it has some weight on it and to keep any background noise down if possible. ... show more

  • Dont overthink it! Buy them!

Im absolutely positive that there is no better value for money when it comes to usb/xlr podcast mics under 50$, these are a steal! Good sound quality I've used them in dozens of podcasts I've hooked them up to Scarlet 2i2 and they sound super great.

  • Don’t expect SM7B sound, but it’s still fantastic for the price!
Style: SL40
Coming from the broadcasting industry, everyone wants to use the SM7B or the RE20… Problem is, the average person like me doesn’t have $400 to $500 to drop on a microphone, plus the extra equipment it takes to make those mics sound their best. I took a chance on this purchase and I’m so glad that I did. There are so many good reviews on YouTube about it and they were not lying. In terms of the sound quality, you get deep, full base and crisp clear high-end. What it’s missing in comparison to the SM7B are the mid range frequencies. It’s not as full/complete sounding. However, with that said this microphone still sounds amazing. I’m using it via XLR without a mic booster/preamp. I can’t believe I don’t need that to make this mic sound good. And the sound floor is so low I don’t hear any hiss at all, even when cranked at 90% of my channel’s gain. I haven’t even tried using it directly through its own USB yet. I’m plugging directly into my USB interface without any external processing and it sounds fantastic. IMPORTANT NOTE: This microphone is very sensitive to plosives out of the box. And that’s because the foam windscreen that it comes with is not adequate to protect against those plosives. I purchased two different options to see which would work out better. The first was a windscreen pop filter with a gooseneck, and that worked pretty well. However, what works so much better is simply purchasing a foam windscreen that’s made for an SM7B. These have the length needed to keep you far enough away from the microphone internals and give you protection against the plosives. I got mine here on Amazon for 4 dollars. Best investment for this microphone. Trust me. It changes everything for the better. Buy this microphone! Don’t wait! ... show more

  • It works flawlessly and powerfully.
Style: SL40
It works as advertised with out the stupid mini usb connector of the Shure M7 and without need of software or drivers to work with my favorite AV software on my old MacBook Pro. Best of all it was only $69. The FDUCE SL 40 comes both a USB C cable and a a balanced microphone cable for analog connections. The 3.5 mm headphone jack is controlled on the microphone and by computer. You will need a powered USB hub to use with an iPad or iPhone and the Apple camera connection kit. I found the mic was smooth and clear with a powerful signal. Bests results were positioning the mic about 6 to 8 inches from my mouth. It distorts if to close to your mouth and has low volume if to far away. It is front end address mic, so don’t hang it down like a side address mic in a radio station booth. So far the best cheap mic in a long time and I saved nearly $200. ... show more

  • "Shure"ly a worthy competitor
Style: SL40
Great audio quality great look all around. I've had nothing but compliments for the quality on communication platforms. I've most of my time using it with xlr to an interface and if you are looking for quality I highly recommend that configuration, although the usb type c configuration is great for a less permanent setup. If you didn't have an interface the built in gain controls on the 50 are well worth it. And as far as I could see it was instant plug and play with the usb c. All around I would definitely recommend this over spending $150 plus on a name brand if you are looking for great mid grade audio quality. ... show more
