  • Sounds great!
Style: SL40
I use this for my stream and EVERYONE ASKS what the brand is!! It sounds amazing, it just captures your voice and not all the noisy background. It looks professional and this is my favorite mic that I've owned. I have four. It is very decorated for my live streams. Highly recommend!

  • Two words: Get It!
Style: SL40
I really wanted a Shure SM7B, but never thought it was worth the $400 price. This mic is not a direct rival to the SM7B, but I believe it's the best mic for someone on a budget that wants an SM7B looking mic with great sound quality! I have been using this mic for several months now and it has impressed me every time I have used it. I have an audio interface, so I only use the XLR mode. With that said, the buttons on the microphone only affect the USB side, not the XLR. I do wish the buttons worked on the XLR side, but it's not uncommon for XLR mics to not have controls on them. I do a lot of gameplay recording, streaming, and discord with this mic and it has wonderful sound quality for everything. It does a good job of rejecting background noise and, when partnered with RTX Broadcast, has virtually none. The build quality is superb for the price point with all aluminum construction. The only cons I have found is that it definitely has more plosives than the SM7B if talking directly into it, and that the swivel mount would look a lot better with chamfered edges like the SM7B. If the XLR connecter was routed onto the mount it would also be a huge plus. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would by it again without hesitation. ... show more

  • Impressed

To be able to just plug this mic in in USBC throw headphones on it and you're ready to go his wonderful with a little EQ and some light compression The proximity effect of this mic is wonderfully warm and has a sound quality above way above its price range compared to others so far build quality is very good I added just a little teddy bear stuffing under the pot filter and plosives and syphilis are practically gone so I probably will be buying a second. ... show more

  • Great mic that won't break the bank!
Style: SL40
This microphone isn't a direct competitor to the SM7b, it's more similar in form and function to the MV7. Audio coming from this mic into my audio interface is clean and clear, the mic doesn't require a ton of gain, but there is a pre-processed sound that comes through, maybe a little bit scooped in the mids, that can be cleaned up with EQ if that's not your thing. I use this mic to record narration, and it performs very well. Has also performed well on Zoom calls. Would definitely recommend for getting started with a podcast, streaming, or spoken word applications. ... show more

  • Don’t expect SM7B sound, but it’s still fantastic for the price!
Style: SL40
Coming from the broadcasting industry, everyone wants to use the SM7B or the RE20… Problem is, the average person like me doesn’t have $400 to $500 to drop on a microphone, plus the extra equipment it takes to make those mics sound their best. I took a chance on this purchase and I’m so glad that I did. There are so many good reviews on YouTube about it and they were not lying. In terms of the sound quality, you get deep, full base and crisp clear high-end. What it’s missing in comparison to the SM7B are the mid range frequencies. It’s not as full/complete sounding. However, with that said this microphone still sounds amazing. I’m using it via XLR without a mic booster/preamp. I can’t believe I don’t need that to make this mic sound good. And the sound floor is so low I don’t hear any hiss at all, even when cranked at 90% of my channel’s gain. I haven’t even tried using it directly through its own USB yet. I’m plugging directly into my USB interface without any external processing and it sounds fantastic. IMPORTANT NOTE: This microphone is very sensitive to plosives out of the box. And that’s because the foam windscreen that it comes with is not adequate to protect against those plosives. I purchased two different options to see which would work out better. The first was a windscreen pop filter with a gooseneck, and that worked pretty well. However, what works so much better is simply purchasing a foam windscreen that’s made for an SM7B. These have the length needed to keep you far enough away from the microphone internals and give you protection against the plosives. I got mine here on Amazon for 4 dollars. Best investment for this microphone. Trust me. It changes everything for the better. Buy this microphone! Don’t wait! ... show more

  • Perfect mic for radio and podcasting.
Style: SL40
This mic is WAY better than the Shure sm7b. My podcast is also a radio program syndicated on 3 radio networks and their affiliate stations so audio quality is essential to what I do. I record episodes with this mic into a Zoom Podtrak P4Next and the mic is so good that I do not need to run eq or compression on the p4. This means in post I don't have to edit for tone because the mic already delivers a perfect sound and this saves me time. You won't be disappointed with this mic. It has a better sound than other radio mics like the Electro Voice. It's amazing that a mic under $100 sounds so much better without processing than a $400 mic. ... show more

  • Great value but poor sound quality
Style: SL40
My Hopes were high. I opened the box and it look so similar to a shure mv7 microphone. It felt solid, well made, heavy and solid. When comparing this microphone to the MV7 which has a similar configuration. Once connected and tested for several streams the hopes quickly became disappointment. The Shure microphone out preforms this microphone by a lot. If you are on a budget this microphone is not bad. When using USB you need to be very close to this microphone. Not more than 1-2 inches away. It is very sensitive to the diection you. You need to find the sweet for the best sound quality. It's very easy to miss that sweet spot. When connecting this microphone to an xlr interface it performs better. The SL40 seems to be noisier than the mv7 as well as the bass sounds off, and generally the audio did not sound natural. The sweet spot is a little more forgiving since you can increase the sensitivity and provide phantom power but it still has it's issues with it. The one big positive this microphone (sl40) has vs the MV7 is a USBC port which is very solid. The mv7 uses a micro usb port which is very easy to break. I was hoping to use this microphone as a backup microphone unfortunately I had to return the microphone as it under performed by a lot compared to the MV7. It was not worth the issues for me even if it was free. If you need a dynamic microphone to reject room noise and background noise this microphone does it well but you will NOT get the same warm natural sound that you get from a Shure microphone. ... show more

  • This one in the arsenal for sure!
Style: SL40
Recently, I made the decision to move on from usb condenser mics and into the world of mixer [RODECASTER PRO II] and dynamic XLR microphones. 1st XLR mic I purchased was SHURE MV7X and love it...still use it. Then I saw a couple of solid reviews for the SL40 on youtube and thought at 69.00 I'll give these a go. WOW! Just blown away at the range and performance of this dynamic mic at this price point. The only slight con for me was the usb sound was nowhere near as crisp and present as the XLR, but not a big concern as I don't plan on using direct with pc for streaming or recording. SL40 is an amazing mic that fits my voice well and on a very comparable level to my MV7X but less than half the cost. FDUCE SL40 also includes the XLR cable, usb-c cord/usb-a adapter, & mount adapter for boom arm/stand. You won't get all of those accessories with many big name mic vendors and definitely not at the 69/79 dollar price point. Loved these mics so much I bought 3! ... show more
