The instrument was sold with bridge not cut to fit the violin. I will have to take to a music store and have it cut to fit. Do not buy!!!

I'm not a violinist but, I do know what looks good, and sounds good being a guitar player, and drummer. This violin while it sounds ok, lacks the authentic look in my opinion. For starters, it looks cheap the with the antique lacquer finish. It more resembles a plastic toy with that finish. I also, have the brown satin stained one that looks so much better, and actually it looks like a real violin. The tuning pegs work well, as do the fine tuning knobs. Overall, its not bad sounding when someone that knows how to play it uses it. I recommend the brown satin stained one for both looks, and sound. I'll will also, be writing a review on that model.

The first thing I noticed is that it seems to be cracked or poorly assembled where the base meets the neck. At that point I had already decided to return it. I am not very familiar with violens but I do play other stringed instruments and that is almost always a fatal blow to the instrument. I decided to check it out further to decide if I wanted a refund or a replacment. I noticed that the bow was stuck in the holder that is built into the case. It took a few minutes the remover it carefully without breaking it. I started to place the bridge and immediately new I wanted a refund and not a replacement because the "instrument" is not able to be tuned. The tuning keys will not hold any tension and just snap back to a loose position much like a cheap toy. Also the tuner did not have the cr2032 battery. I am very disappointed because it was ment to be a gift for my daughter to learn to play but it seems to be nothing more than a decoration. The one good thing I can say is that the case is nice.

I regret to say that the Violin for Beginners Adults is not a playable instrument. The strings are unresponsive and don’t stay tightened, making it impossible to play. It feels very lightweight and made of cheap plastic, and the bows are flimsy. Overall, it seems more effort was put into making the bag than the actual product. Very disappointing.

I’ve played a bit of violin before, and I picked this one up as a budget backup. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, but this violin really exceeded my expectations. The setup was easy, and the tone is quite decent after tuning. For students or casual players, this is an excellent value.
