I did let the vinyl warm up and then I unrolled, stuck and screwed it at the same time. I bought some barn doors for a small bathroom in our guest room, but should have bought larger doors because I had a gap where you could see into the bathroom when the doors were closed. I bought this weatherstripping to fill that gap and it worked really well. I attached it to the door frame using the sticky part AND the screws with the caps to hide them. The flexible vinyl part sticks out past the door frame to fill the gap. I’m very happy with the result.

This stuff is heavy duty and durable. It's also heavy. It arrives coiled up, and nothing that you do will flatten it out. I attempted to flatten it by clamping to an 8 foot workbench for 7 days, and the pieces just rolled right back up. While you are installing, it will inevitably uncoil and punch you in the lip at least once. To cut the hard rubber half, score it with a razor knife and break it off with a wrench. Install is a hassle, but only because the seal is heavy and heavy duty. The adhesive is mostly useless. The screws are made of a very soft alloy and will instantly strip if you're impatient. To save your sanity and prevent stripping the screws, drill pilot holes with a 3/32" bit. Total install look me about 90 minutes, I cared more about doing it right than doing it quickly.

First off, let's talk about those decorative screw caps. Cute? Yes. Functional? As much as a chocolate teapot. They snapped faster than my patience, transforming from a hopeful solution to a plastic confetti party on my garage floor. And the screws! Ah, the screws. If there were an award for "Most Likely to Break Under Slight Pressure," these little guys would be sweeping the ceremony. Installing them was like playing a frustrating game of "Will It Snap?" Spoiler alert: It did. Every. Single. Time. Now, let's address the roll. This thing was wound tighter than a mystery novel plot. Trying to get it to lay flat was like asking a cat to fetch – a notion both amusing and deeply impractical. The included adhesive strip must be a practical joke because its sticking power was as effective as using positive thoughts to hold it in place. I pondered screwing it every three inches for a flat lay, but I didn't sign up for a garage door that looks like it's auditioning for a punk-rock band with studs. So, no thanks. In conclusion, my dear friends, this garage door seal was a journey – a journey of lost money, time, and a bit of my sanity. The only thing it successfully sealed was my fate as a cautionary tale. Do yourselves a favor: save your money, your time, and your garage door from this caper. Buy literally anything else.
