I went with this because reviews addressed it was actually FIRM. And boy, yes it is! It has a nice layer of memory foam on the top just enough to give you that ahhhh feeling when you lay down. But then, the firm foam beneath takes it from there with such lovley support. I am so picky about my bed and buying online was tricky, but this has been a great buy. I actually slept on the cooler side, finally! Just enough give to hug you, but enough support to not feel like you woke up in a crater. There was no sunk in spot when I woke up, and bitty indent that was there puffed right back up. All in all if you actually like a more firm bed, this is it! It has good edge support too, which was so nice. The motion part worked very well too, I didn't feel my dogs up and down all night get in different cozy spots. They actually snored pretty good on this bed. 5 stars all the way! No smell. Good edge support. Good sleep support. Very impressed, and that's hard to do with a online purchase. Very well made fathom. Thank you from my back.

I bought this for my son and have completely taken over his bed. The mattress arrived in a fairly small box compressed. It didn’t take long after opening for the mattress to expand. It was easy to set up. And for someone that is 9 months pregnant and even sleeping has been uncomfortable and painful.. The mattress itself is extremely comfortable and has helped me to sleep through the night! This is the perfect medium mattress that is supportive but not too hard and not too soft. It has been amazing and I’m not waking up from hip and back pain anymore. It also is very breathable and not like other memory foams that retain a lot of heat.

The FATHOM 12” Queen Mattress arrived well packaged and expanded properly. It took about 1 hour and 30 minutes to expand which is quite impressive. There was a slight odor at first, but it went away quickly. The feel is balanced — not very firm and not very squishy — and provides comfortable support. It worked great for my back pain and I don’t feel like I sink in too much. The mattress also sleeps fairly cool. The removable, fiberglass-free cover feels decent and well made. Overall, it’s a solid mattress for the price. I’m satisfied with the purchase and added photos for reference.
