I purchased two of these, to use while installing upper cabinets. I read a few negative reviews on here, and just wanted to say, that I didn't have any of the issues, that were described in those comments. They worked as described, sure, they were a little tight right out of the box. But with minimal effort, and a little back and forth, they move smoothly and freely. I would recommend these to anyone, looking for a solid, extra hand. I know they say up to 150 lbs, but they held my weight, 179, without any slippage. FastCap makes quality products, across the board, and these are no different.

There are certain ways to install cabinets to get exact spacing like some designs. This tool allows that to happen in an easy and convenient way. This saves time when installing cabinets. I use it from the floor, and sometimes use it inside base cabinets. Will not adjust to refrigerator height, I use a 5 gallon bucket or Milwaukie packout for extra 2 feet of height. But still 5 stars all day long! For single cabinet installers this is a must have! Will save you hours over a week period. Do not buy the cheap versions of this tool. They do not have the strength or durability as this does. Very well made! 5 stars!

I had to install cabinets and wanted to do it by myself. Help is nice but I knew most of this was going to be done during random times when I have a spare 30 minutes to get a box on the wall. Once you mark your line on the wall and install a ledger board this tool holds up the other end. I got all my cabinets installed and square without another person having to come help me out. This was easy to use and easy to get to the correct height. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

This works very well as an adjustable 'lifter and holder'. It has non-marring, non-slip pads that snap on to each end, and remove for easy storage. The main body of this, also is adjustable for length (within a certain range - check the specs, the size range varies depending on which one you get). It is rated to lift/hold 150 pounds, and I think it will easily do all of that. Squeezing the handle causes the tool to stretch, lifting/spreading whatever you have the pads between. There is a release lever, to relieve pressure, or to collapse it back down Great for lifting cabinets into place, or putting steady pressure on something while glue sets, or wherever you want a more or less infinately adjustable holder/spreader. The only reason I only gave it 4 stars, is because at first it wouldn't ratchet properly, but after several uses, things seemed to loosen up, and it now works as it should.

I have owned similar products over the years however the quality, pole extension features, and the top and bottom pads are attached thus no need to search for one or the other. I would recommend this product to a friend.

I could not have done my upper kitchen cabinets and mount my microwave without this tool. Held everything in place while I leveled and secured to the wall. Also used to raise a portion of the patio cover to repair, and used it to hold in place wood blocks I was securing to the wall and didn't have anyone to hold for me. Great tool. Not sure why people whined about being wabbly as under load it was rock solid. Took it apart and put in original box so I can pull it out good as new when needed again in the future. Highly recommend if you are doing jobs by yourself.

The cabinet lift works well. It does hold a cabinet in place. I think the cabinet lift plate which a cabinet sits on is too small however. Another pair of hands is usually needed to be certain the cabinets did not fall off the plate until it is screwed into a stud because of the plate's smallness. I wish I had purchased the tallest cabinet lift because the medium height one proved to be too short. I had to put boards on it the to bring the cabinets up to the needed height.
