As the name implies, what costs more: this device or chopping off a finger or two? I really like this. The only issue is that it's pretty long, so if your miter saw doesn't have extension wings you may have trouble getting this to function properly. But it has worked well for me. The little padded fit stick well enough and I am able to keep small pieces down so my hands are nowhere near the saw blade. I'm very happy with this and I should have purchased on a long time ago. I'm glad I finally did.

I had been using a homemade holder made from a cut-down 2x4 and a garden flag rubber stopper. It worked, but after seeing so many videos, I finally decided to buy the FastCap 10 Million Dollar Stick. It feels very solid and the rubber really grips the wood. It holds the piece securely without slipping, which makes cutting feel much safer and more controlled. I especially like that you can use it with two feet for larger boards or just one for smaller pieces. The only drawback to me is the length. I know it’s designed to keep your fingers away from the blade, but depending on your table and cutting bed, it can limit certain uses. Overall, I’m glad I finally bought it. If you own a miter saw, this is a simple safety upgrade that’s well worth the price.

I used this safety stick the first day I received it. It takes the worry out of cutting small parts. The two scariest incidents in my shop occurred when small cuts resulted in a 1" chunk of unsupported wood, wedged between my miter saw and the fence, became projectiles directed at my head. Fortunately, they hit a wall and not my body. It's true, for a few bucks you can significantly improve safety in your shop. It also saves time trying to clamp small parts close to the blade. Must have item if you consistently make small cuts you aren't clamping.

Great product, easy to use, very effective at securing your work piece and keeping your fingers at a safe distance from the saw blade. It just seems expensive for something that is little more than a stick of plastic. Having said that...it is safety equipment. You could jerry-rig a DIY hold-down from a windshield ice scraper but...what are your fingers worth to you? Worth it to have well designed, quality safety solution.

They call push sticks like this the 10 Million dollar one because it's designed to push material through the table saw in such a way as to minimize unintentional amputation of your present collection of fingers. Your fingers are worth at least 10 million dollars, and using a scrap piece of wood as a material pusher can be a dicey business even for the most experienced DIYer. It allows the user to make thin cuts by applying an even amount of pressure on the work piece via the two "fingers" at the end of the stick. This tool provides me with more confidence to use my table saw for obvious reasons, one of them being reduced kickbacks. Interestingly, this tool is in great demand. For whatever reason, it is not sold in the big box stores and the on-line offerings seem to sell out quite quickly. I'm happy with this $12 stick that provides me 10 million bucks of insurance. If you don't have one, buy one.

Stop spending time looking for the right fence clamps for your miter saw. This stick holds even a very small piece of wood perfectly for cutting. No lost fingers if you use this stick. The rubber feet can hold 1/4 round pieces tight to the fence for perfect cuts. Great product.
