This chandelier is not expensive, and it looks pretty nice once it’s installed. It is fairly easy to put together and the installation process is typical. The only complaint I have is that the pole that runs up the center of the light tightens in 3 places (at the bottom, where the base with the lights attaches, at the top of the pole inside of the light fixture, and again at the very tip, on top of the chandelier where you attach the ring it hangs from) and it was very difficult for me to tighten one place without making another place come untightened. The pole is sturdy enough, but I was concerned it was going to damage it while I was trying to get everything snug. (I’ve had that happen with similar designs where these types of poles with threads are used!) The wooden shell is very easy to put together, the directions are easy to follow, and it comes with a screwdriver. Once I had it all together, I really liked the look of it. I’m hoping my husband will help me hang it in this hallway (see pic.) I used to have a similar chandelier in our previous house (larger than this one, but same basic shape) and I absolutely loved the rustic/farmhouse look of it. Love love love the look this gives our dining room! Simply by changing out a light fixture, it can give a dramatic fresh look to your room! This isn't a huge light fixture, so it's definitely more proper for a smaller area. The length of the chain allows for ample height customizing in your space. The only negative is that the quality is not superior; ie: the wood pieces weren't as flush as you'd hope when assembling, assembly did not take long, and when the light bulbs were screwed in to the sockets on the fixture, it seems like the fitment of the bulbs is difficult. It's up though, and a definite improvement from what we had. I showed our before chandelier which is lacking any prettiness, and showed the after, which makes me smile and sooo happy!!! Such a simple thing to help upgrade an entire space! :) ... show more

I ORDERED THIS LIGHT TO REPLACE THE ONE IN MY KITCHEN OVER MY ISLAND. IT IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL. IT COMES WELL PACKED AND MY HUBBY SAYS IT SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM TO PUT UP. NOW I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SHOW YOU A PICTURE OF IT HUNG, BUT I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY HUBBY TO PUT IT UP. SINCE IT IS FOOTBALL, ICE HOCKEY, AND BASEBALL SEASON, I DON'T THINK IT WILL BE HUNG ANYTIME SOON. I JUST NEED TO WAIT UNTIL THERE ARE NO MORE SPORTS ON T.V. This light is a nice simple design and works well as our new entryway light in our home. It was easy to assemble and install. I also liked that I was able to take some of the links off in order to shorten the chain so it would fit to the right length from my ceiling. Here are a few things to consider before ordering. Firstly the light looked smaller than I expected after I got it all assembled, so make sure that you consider the dimensions so it will fit your space properly. Also make sure that you assemble the chain, the wire and all the pieces in the right order. I got ahead of myself and when I assembled everything I got to the end with the chain and realized I had to go back and take a bunch apart because I had done something out of order.
