The diagram instructions without any written steps is not sufficient for most people to be successful. I found an assembly video on youtube which enabled me to put this fixture together. The “wooden” parts are coated with something like paper paint. I had to use a blade to cut off where this “paint” had perhaps seeped out at time of application. Also it appears like there is a shoe print on the pieces. I was unable to clean off the black print. See attached pics. Over all after the light is installed it looks nice. ... show more

We really love this fixture. It goes perfect with our new bathroom reno. It does come packaged well. However, assembling this light takes a little time and patience. Each side of the light has to be assembled to the middle of the fixture. It's not that it was hard. It just takes a little more time than expected. Other than that it's a really nice light. It comes with plenty of wire and chain to hang it at whatever height you desire. Would definitely reccomend this light fixture. ... show more

I thought at first it was difficult to assemble because of very basic single page assembly instructions. But after a few minutes of reviewing and laying the parts out it was doable and easily assembled after a few tries. Product looked as advertised.

Light arrived tucked very securely in box from manufacturer in the styrofoam cradle & was easy enough for me to do most of the assembly myself with the hubs just securing everything and then hanging the light. Beautiful beautiful light. It is hanging in my kitchen nook above my white round kitchen table and puts off stupendous light with the recommended 40 watt bulb per each candle fixture. The finish is awful. It seems after it was painted white and lightly distressed with the typical scuffs and scratches (which I expect), it was then “dotted” with these horrendous pinkish/brown paint spots all over. It’s just awful. Your hands are left with powdery white paint residue all over them after handling it and my skin and face/mouth were super itchy/burning during assembly and installation. I suspect the paint irritated my skin. Also, it’s made of MDF or something similar. Maybe I missed that in the description but I thought it was solid wood when I purchased. I will have to go back and look at that. The distressing reveals the “cardboard” looking raw material underneath. Definitely not high quality material. Thankfully, you only notice the poor “polka-dotty” paint job when you’re standing within about 4 feet of the fixture. I mean, I can see it from across the room but I know it’s there, so.. I’d return this if my husband hadn’t gone out of his way to be proactive and put this together and install it for me without me even harassing him over it. Wives and husbands, you know what I mean! So, I plan to chalk paint it a creamy white at some point to make it look better. The positives - the design is pretty, I like looking at it from across the room, my husband didn’t mention the bad paint job or complain, it feels sturdy enough and there were no missing or broken parts. Although, a couple of the arms were a bit crooked and took some bending back into place and some praying to make them straight. It was also fairly easy to assemble and install but a second pair of hands will be needed. So, make sure you have a helper, or make sure you are the helper. Wink. I would not buy this again. I don’t recommend you buy it unless you don’t mind possibly giving it a little extra paint job. And, if yours looks anything like mind then you’ll want to.
