I have use this product one year in the garden to keep the weeds down and keep the watering to just the plants. So far the plastic has not ripped or decay in the sunlight. I needed the white plastic for the harsh southern sun and it seems to have worked great. Only issue was the wind picking up the plastic at the start of the season. Enough bricks, slate, wood posts, and rocks helped with that. Again, no rips or holes caused by the weight or even walking on the plastic.

I bought this plastic to use to enclose my porch for privacy.I ordered enough for what I needed but the edge of the longest sides(top and bottom) were uneven.During sunny days with the black side facing outward the heat omitted on the reverse side was significantly noticable.This plastic is totally opac.It blocks all light ,my projector does not beam through it which was one of the reasons I bought it.

Far exceeded expectations. We have been using this as a field tarp to smother weeds for three years straight, and the plastic has not degraded at all. It will puncture, but it doesn't rip. It can easily be dragged around on the ground without breaking. I will buy this again if we need more coverage.
