    • Excellent Full-Sized Machine - But Arrived Dented...
This microwave is pretty amazing. We got the 2.2 cubic foot model and it's huge. If you need a microwave with space for a turkey, a roast, or a large container of pasta, or perhaps 2 gallons of water, this is it. It's easily restaurant-sized with no size or space constraints at all. Second is the power. Even though it's advertised at 1100 watts, it's actually labeled as 1200 watts. It very quickly and easily heats food, coffee and other items. You will not have problems with insufficient power or cold food with this machine. Next, it runs pretty quiet, at least compared to our previous microwaves. Just the whir of the fan and a faint hum. The touch controls are sealed so cleaning is easy, and activating everything is intuitive and simple. While the electric door lock feature, for safety reasons, is a neat idea if you have small children, we found it troublesome. It's easy enough to disable, so it's currently a non-issue. The weight isn't too bad for a larger microwave, and I was able to lift and manage it by myself. The light inside was bright enough also, so this shouldn't be an issue for anyone. Our only complaint is that this arrived with a very small dent in the trim on the door. It's not a deal-killer, but it is annoying that a new item arrived damaged. We're not really willing to return it over this, but it would be nice if the distributor sent us a new door or perhaps a credit. Overall we're extremely happy with this purchase and look forward to enjoying this appliance for many years... ... show more

It's perfect! Gave this to my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. She was using a 700watt microwave, had to run 1 item twice sometimes 3 times. Frustrating to say the least. This upgrade was exactly what she needed and has once again apiezed my mother in law. You can never go wrong with Farberware. They are a very good and well known company. The microwaves appearance is not at all intimidating. It matches the other appliances. Smooth functional and great quality. Doesn't take up too much space. Most importantly, easy to use, which was something I had to take into consideration, after all, I was giving this to a 78-year-old woman. Overall, a great buy for very little money. Downsized to this model and it's worked well, taking up much less room than our previous high-powered oven. Need to increase time a bit but it's been easy to adapt. The default two-step process for opening the door is annoying but fortunately this setting can be changed. One complaint: the glass turntable rotates slower than the ideal 15 sec per revolution, so if you zap a mug of coffee for 60 or 90 sec, the handle may be pointing to the back when the cycle finishes. ... show more

Perfect little microwave for me. A few comments about other reviews: Some folks complain about low power. Well, it's clearly marked as a 700W microwave, so that's expected. I would argue that the somewhat slower cooking times make for a better overall heating experience, but regardless, if you want faster times, buy a higher wattage oven. This thing heats food up nicely. The added seconds is sort of meaningless even in our fast-paced world. Secondly, about the locking door. The company obviously heard the complaints. So they've added very prominent instructions on how to easily disable the door lock if you don't have kids. If I remember right, the instructions are included on the top of the appliance as you unpack it. I followed the very simple instructions, and have had zero problems. They're almost giving away this thing. Nothing to complain about on my end. Do be aware that if, like me, you microwave pre-cooked rice envelopes, they won't stand up in this small microwave. You have to lay them flat. But that doesn't seem to hurt anything. They still microwave for me in the traditional 90 seconds. You might want to make it 100 seconds and flip it over at 50. I would have given this item a zero if I had the choice. Unfortunately, I have to add a star. Do yourself a favor: DO NOT BUY this microwave under any circumstance! I purchased one in 2025, nine months later, it stopped working cold, full stop! I called the company and they replaced it with another one. However, they told me that I will only have 3 months worth of warranty because their so-called policy stipulates that if they have to replace it, it will not have another full year warranty. Guess what? the one they replaced stop working again less than two months later. I live alone, I have no kids. The microwave has not been used improperly. It is just poorly made. Now I have to purchase another brand of microwave from another company. Do yourself a favor: Do No Buy This!! ... show more

I ordered this model Farberware because the model I had previously wasn't available quickly, and this one was. Plus it was one of the few with a dark interior like I wanted. It's supposed to be 900w like the other model, but it now takes about 6 minutes to pop popcorn in my glass & silicone popper as opposed to about 3-1/2 in the old microwave. I really haven't noticed a difference with other foods. The biggest annoyance, though, is the noise it makes which seems to be from the outside vibrating. It's the noisiest microwave I've ever had. If I had to do it over again, I probably wouldn't buy it. ... show more
