I am 78 and have been sleeping in a hammock for nearly two years. It took me a couple of nights to get used to sleeping in one, but I soon found that sleeping in a hammock cleared up the back pain I had been experiencing. That may not be the case for everyone, but it has worked very well for me. I bought my first hammock nearly two years ago at the Minnesota State Fair and paid more than $100 for it. I quickly discovered that I did not like the decorative fringe along the sides. My dog's legs would sometimes get caught in it, so I eventually replaced that hammock with a much less expensive one from Amazon. The replacement worked well, but it was narrower than my original hammock, and I prefer the extra room of a wider hammock. That is one of the things I particularly like about this one. It is approximately as wide as my original State Fair hammock, is very comfortable, and has no decorative fringe to get in the way. Amazon describes this as a two-person hammock. It certainly has plenty of room, but I can't imagine spending the night in it with another person. Maybe I could have when I was much younger! For one person, though, I really appreciate the extra width and room to move around. Currently, I am using this hammock with a hammock stand that I also purchased from Amazon. That makes it easy to move the hammock or take it with me. I am currently visiting my daughter, and it was easy to bring both the stand and hammock to her home. At home, another option is to hang a hammock from properly installed heavy-duty eye bolts anchored securely into wall studs. With the eye bolts, I found a heavy-duty rope or strap installed above the hammock provides something to hold onto when getting in or out. Of course, any mounting hardware needs to be strong enough and properly installed to safely support the expected load. It did not have any washing instructions, but I washed it in the washing machine on the cold water setting. I partially dried it in the dryer on the cold setting for about 20 minutes and then hung up on the line to finish drying in the basement. It came out beautifully, and I probably could have dried it completely in the dryer. After trying several hammocks, this one has the combination I prefer: it is wide, comfortable, fringe-free, and works well with my hammock stand. I am very pleased with it.

This hammock was a surprise. The colors are nice and vibrant, and the hammock itself is extremely generous. There is easily enough fabric for two people, although it was only tested with one. There was even enough extra fabric to pull part of it over as a cover when the squirrels started throwing acorns from the trees above. The fabric is soft and comfortable. The weave is a little more open than expected and slightly see-through, but once in the hammock it feels better and more substantial than that first impression suggests. There are no instructions included, which made the tree straps confusing at first. The included tree straps have a large loop at one end and multiple sewn loops at the other. You wrap the strap around the tree and thread the multiple loop end through the large loop. Then you thread the multiloop end through the hammock ring. The carabiners can be used to connect one of the smaller loops to another, keeping the end threaded through the hammock AND allowing you to adjust the length depending on which two small loops you attach to each other. Once the intended use of the straps was figured out, they proved convenient and provided adjustable attachment points. However, tree size and spacing matter, and we had to try a couple of locations before finding two trees that worked well with the supplied straps. The carabiners are surprisingly heavy and magnetic, but have no load rating that could be found, nor do the ropes or straps. That creates some hesitation with a hammock advertised for multiple people. The straps did shift down the tree very slightly while changing position, but they didn’t drop or come loose. Once installed, the hammock is roomy, comfortable and attractive. The tree straps can be left in place while the hammock itself is unclipped and brought inside, making it easy to keep the fabric clean and dry while supporting quick installation on the next use. While we were skeptical at first, this hammock won us over. Better instructions and more information about the load-bearing components would make it easier to trust completely, but it has been comfortable and enjoyable to use.

I'm actually a little upset because I previously paid $124 for a hammock that looks and feels almost identical to this one. 😂 For the price, this is fantastic. The material is thick, soft and slightly stretchy, with reinforced metal loops at the ends that feel very sturdy. It doesn't feel thin or cheap at all and is extremely comfortable once you settle into it. I already have a hammock stand and it fits perfectly. Once attached, it's very stable and I feel completely secure relaxing in it. I actually think this style works best on a stand because it's a cocoon-style hammock rather than a flat hammock. The material naturally wraps around you instead of staying spread open, which I personally find really comfortable and relaxing. Honestly, I think everyone needs a hammock somewhere in their life. There's something about climbing into one and physically forcing yourself to stop moving for a minute that makes relaxing so much easier. Great material, stable on my stand, comfortable, easy to set up and an excellent value compared to what I've paid for essentially the same thing before.

Overall, this hammock seems to be decent quality, however, it's more expensive (currently $60) and a lower finished quality than my other GOCAN hammock ($35) that I also bought this summer. I ordered 4 different hammocks before keeping the GOCAN as the best one, and then a couple months later I received this one from Vine. The fabric edges and stitching where the ropes connect to the fabric are quite messy compared to my other hammock. Even if they're nice and strong (this is still to be determined), the messy stitching gives me less confidence in it's longevity. I love that this hammock comes with the adjustable looped tree strap (the looped strap allows for full flexibility for tree distances and girths), however, I wish it were a little thicker of a band to protect the tree better. But for temporary or occasional hanging this won't be a problem for the health of a tree. The fabric seems equally as strong as my GOCAN hammock, and the ropes too. And the blue color is pretty. This is definitely a generous size, as you can see with my 5'9" 180lb friend in the hammock. It works great too if you want to sit sideways too like it's a chair and still rest your head in the hammock. Overall, it's decent quality and if the extra wide/deep size is what you're looking for you should be happy with it, even for nearly twice the price of the GOCAN. I will update this review later if it doesn't hold up well. Update 8/22/26: I forgot to mention the hammock stunk strongly of mildew when I received it. I hung it on the clothesline in the sun for a day and that helped a lot. My husband had been using it while I use my GOCAN hammock. we used both hammocks all day today and I realized it has a mildew smell again that has been growing stronger, almost as strong as when we got it. For anyone sensitive to molds and mildew like me, it’s a deal breaker. I’ll spritz it down with a vinegar mix as a last try tomorrow, but if that doesn’t get rid of the smell we’ll just have to toss it.

Very relaxing hammock for the back yard. While advertised in the listing for 2-3 people, the reality is that you had all better be REALLY close friends to use it together, as unlike some hammocks, it does not have a bar at each end to keep it completely open. Instead, it basically wraps you up like in a cocoon, and if there's more than one, you'll be wrapped around each other quickly! For one person though, it's awesome, as you can find that "just right" position of comfort, and you'll be out for that summer nap outside in no time! The material is like a fairly tough canvas, although it's not itchy or uncomfortable; it's just heavy duty, which is a good thing. The caribiners are "ok" in size and durability, but I would NOT use them with more than one person. All in all, it's a nice and comfortable place to relax and take a nap in the summer. It's not for more than one, in my opinion, but you may feel otherwise.

I was looking for a replacement hammock for the stand I already own, and I'm glad I found this one! It's easy to assemble, has the right thickness, and it fits my existing stand perfectly, which made replacing the old hammock so easy. I love the blue and white color because it matches the beach theme in my house and looks great in the space. The hammock feels durable, comfortable, and well-made, and it looks really nice in person. It's so relaxing. Definitely a great replacement for my old hammock!
