  • A Nerds Dream!
The media could not be loaded. This is an old school nerds dream. There are thousands of games on here. Some of them are listed under a different name than the US version. This is the second console I received. The first one was defective so I did an exchange. So far, a week later, this one still works. Keep in mind this is old school gaming. Nothing fancy. Simple fun times. Overall this is a great game system for anyone looking for nostalgia. ... show more

  • A LOT of repeat games
I never had a console system growing up only PC, so the first console I owned in my home was the Wii as an adult. The only time I ever got to experience any of these console type games was when I visited cousins or friends who had them. As such, I don't have any deep nostalgia for any of these system or games, but my kids have been really interested in retro games and systems and I enjoy games in general so I figured why not give one of these a try. The system is easy to set up and use, it just requires a basic plug-n-play hook up of your hdmi to your tv and a power source to the box. The menu's are fairly easy to figure out and navigate. The biggest problem, as I see it, is that there's no definitive list available to consumers to view what games are or are not available. In the answers section the developer(?) has offered to e-mail it to people, but you have to go through a lot of extra hoops then to get it. It would be more beneficial for them to include a link where you can view the full list or at least include a printed list in the package or a link in the package if it can't be put in a link to view or a pdf. My second issue with this system is that while it may have 10,000+ games, a great deal of them are repeats. So you'll find the same game on the same system but it's available in 3 different versions and you might also have that game (and possibly different versions) for each of the emulated systems. They all count and sometimes there's minor differences between versions, but I don't like the number bolstering this causes since I consider that 1 game (multiple versions) not 20 games. If I read 10,000 games I'm expecting 10,000 uniquely different games not just different versions and systems. My third issue with this system is that the search function isn't very good. It clearly misses things it should find and to compound the issue many games are not under their expected title (might be listed as the UK, Japanese, etc... release's name) This makes finding the games you want really difficult. So for example my daughter was really hoping to find Kingdom Heart's Games on there. We typed it into the search, but it returned zero results. Okay, disappointing, but whatever, let's just scroll through and see what is there... scrolling through all of the sudden there it is Kingdom Hearts... just one of the games is on there, but still it didn't show up in the search at all despite being on there. To it's benefit, every game we've tried runs smoothly and plays well, things scale well to our 4K TV screen, and the controllers work well. Unfortunately, my kids have hardly touched it despite all of them saying they really wanted it. When it comes down to it they would usually rather play their new games. So if you didn't grow up playing these games and want this for nostalgia... it's probably not going to be all that great for you. If you did play them and want to relive some childhood memories it's probably great. I do like that it brings old games to a modern interface that younger gamers may find more accessible. ... show more

  • Original Gamer's Paradise!
I did a double take when I saw the ad for this game box because it had the Sega 32X logo prominently displayed. I already have a couple of these emulator game collections but none of them have the infamous Sega 32X games. Well, this one Does! Yup, you get a total 32 (!) of 32X games. Finally, I can play the super colorful Knuckles' Chaotix again. Also the Starfleet Academy Bridge Simulator, Star Wars Arcade, Doom, Primal Rage, WWF Raw, Tempo, Mortal Kombat II, Blackthorne and Virtua Fighter. For the first time I can play the ridiculously expensive and rare 32X version of Amazing Spiderman: Web of Fire as well as the Europe-only title Darxide. There are thousands of Atari, Nintendo, Sega and PlayStation games, even Turbografx, PC and foreign console as well as arcade games. Mario, Sonic, Zelda, Street Fighter, TMNT, Metroid and many more classics are included. The console itself is tiny, about the size of a deck of cards. It comes with a USB power cord, HDMI cable and two wireless controllers that are actually very good quality for an emulator console. You need two AAA batteries for each controller, not included. The Fadist Retro game console is a Pandora's box that's loaded with gaming fun. Totally worth it even for just those hard-to-find Sega 32X titles. ... show more

  • Great game system
The media could not be loaded. This game system is a lot of fun, though it takes a lot of practice to figure out the steering. Easy set up and off we go.It’s like going back to the 80s with some of these games they have. We use to play for hours with our kids . Looks like we’ll be doing that again. It’s going to be great to have when we’re snowed in to keep us busy with fun games. ... show more
