Story time. Back in my early 20’s, in the early 1990s, I got a diagnosis of PCOS. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Though it’s now known as Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS). Not a single doctor I saw thought I should be told about what I consider is the most embarrassing part of PCOS. Facial hair. If I were a man? No problem. But as I’m a woman? Bit of a problem. So fine. I began shaving my face beard with a razor. For almost 20 years. Because what woman wants to go out in public with stubble? Even if I never go out. In looking at creams like Nair I came across this. And yes, I know there are prescriptions I can ask my doctor about. But good grief, I’m already using a lot of prescriptions. For eczema, mental health, all sorts of fun stuff because why not? This arrives. I admit I didn’t pay too close attention to how it was powered. I saw it had good reviews. Was cheap. I was pleased to learn it uses a single AA battery - which was included. Yay!! So insert the battery. Now here’s the tricky part for me. I’m legally blind. What it boils down to is I can see that big E on the eye chart. That’s about it. Without magnifying glasses. (4.5x I’m looking at you!). I also get occasional hand tremors and drop things due to spine damage from the early 1980s. And. I dropped this. Twice. And it still worked. And I didn’t need to use a mirror. Which is great because I can barely stand. And certainly not for several minutes. No skin irritation. It didn’t hurt. And was quick and clean. I highly recommend!!!! ... show more

This item works wonderfully on my upper lip. I have small blonde hairs there and like a clean upper lip. I don't know how it works but it cleans my upper lip perfectly and lasts a week. It doesn't hurt at all and it is lightweight in your hand.
