I put one on each eye and leave it on for 30 seconds and then I continue to clean the rest of my face with them too. I really like it!! You do need to actually wash your face with something else after because these are so oily though

Don't use baby oil if you don't like these. It's dangerous for your eyes. To me, these biodegradable pads do seem scratchy but they aren't meant to be used by rubbing. When I just left them on the eye about 10 seconds, the waterproof eye makeup came off easily and I could use the other side of the pad for the other eye. I had been using bottled eye makeup remover by target and it was making the skin under my eyes all red. The almay did not irritate my skin or eyes at all. I see many bad reviews and I guess everyone is different. But,I love these. ... show more

This product works very well to clean up eye makeup for a clean line. It has an oily feel and seems to leave residue which I wipe off. Maybe one of the other forms would be better. I got the one with the lavender colored lid.

They do work to remove Waterproof mascara. Pad can be a bit rough if used to aggressively. Also, I like to squeeze some of the oil out before rubbing on my eye. Some of the oil may get into your eye but it does not hurt or sting. I just used a dry soft facial tissue to dab excess oil from eye.

So I’m normally an Almay fan for gentle and clean products. I’m sad to say this product disappointed me personally for a couple reasons. First, I wear regular Clinique mascara (not waterproof)- and after after a 17 hour day teaching, it still takes a full pad to get the thin Clinique liquid eyeliner and mascara removed from one eye. That’s using both sides of the pad. So, let’s say I want to be lazy and use it as make up remover one night- we’re talking a good two to four pads to clean my face. Also, the pads are pretty rough to me- especially since they’re meant specifically for the eye area. They’re thin and and in no way fluffy in my opinion. They are like soaked an essential oil that nice- and LOTS of it- (I would have preferred MUCH less on my face) But the true reason for the stars… the oily residue that is left behind. Maybe it’s just my skin type because like I said before I am a fan of most Almaty skincare but this is a 🙅♀️ for me ... show more

Almay makeup remover pads are an excellent product. They work extremely well & moisturize the area around my eyes. Easy to travel with, they don't dry out. I like that they are biodegradable & rate well in terms of clean ingredients. Highly recommended!

I got this on accident. It is awful and slimy. You might as well just rub baby oil on your eyes. And, the pads did not take off the makeup easily. It took several eye lashes with it when I tried to get the mascara off. Thank God I didn’t use fake lashes yesterday. Normally, I get the oil free one with the picture of the cucumber on it. That one works great and the eye makeup comes right off. It doesn’t leave any slimy film. Get that one instead of this monstrosity. ... show more

I expected this product to remove my mascara more easily than it does, and the pads are rough and they irritate the eye area. I noticed the skin around my eyes was looking very haggard and older than it normally does, and I couldn't figure it out. I stopped using the pads and started using baby oil on an ordinary cotton pad and my eyes looked so much better... actually in one day they recovered! Disappointed that these pads seemed like they would be very helpful but wound up making my eyes look worse. And you really have to dab for quite a while to make the waterproof makeup come off. ... show more
