It takes some effort to take the ps4 controller apart and put it back together again, but it is worth it for people who don't play racing games (and you really should be playing forza on xbox if you do like racing games IMO). When I installed it, I followed the advice in the questions area to avoid installing the plastic pegs into L1 and R1. It seems to be working great so far. For installation, the extremerate youtube videas are great. There is no soldering, which makes this easier than the xbox clicky trigger mod. Otherwise, it certainly helps to have an iFixit kit since it takes some effort to open the shell of the ps4 controller. BTW - For those rare individuals who want it all in one gamepad, there is also the "Dualshock 4 Back Button Controller Attachment (PS4)" for those who do not want to take apart their controllers and are willing to retrain their reflexes to using middle fingers instead of index fingers to hit triggers. Final Note - also consider the extremerate dpad joycon mod if you own a switch and need to feel a clicky dpad. I really like my joycons now. The success of the joycon mod made this an easy decision.

Tried to install on a jdm-055 ps4 controller. The plastic inserts for the r2 and l2 triggers do not fit and when the triggers are installed the button is continually pressed. Part of the instructions involve clipping parts off the triggers, so now I cannot take out the new and use it as it was. So I now have a broken controller Edit: I originally rated this 1 star. After contacting eXtremeRate, they were able to send me replacement triggers that fixed the problem. Controller works now and I am pleased with the product. But I do not recommend this for jdm-055 controllers until this problem is resolved

Needed to use a knife to scrape material off of the clear LT and RT studs that slot into the trigger. Gently scrape material off of the face of the clear peice that touches the blue buttons. I did increments of 20 passes and kept checking until i heard the distinct clicking noise.

The media could not be loaded. They are inconsistent with how they sound and feel i didn’t have to modify any of my triggers to make the plastic pieces fit it just feels ok not the best but not the worst
