The media could not be loaded. I did the backplate and front plate of my switch. It worked out so well! I had no experience with disassembling a switch whatsoever. I dove right into it with a YouTube tutorial and it worked out! I love the look! I recommend it for sure! Be patient and gentle when disassembling and I promise the outcome is so rewarding! I will say I messed up and did something to the processor, but it wasn't because of the install. This was a couple days later doing something else. Great product it was super easy to install just keep track of your screws but if you don't it comes with every screw you need and the tools if you are missing the kickstand on your switch this kit doesn't have the small bar you need so you will need to buy a replacement kickstand kit

The media could not be loaded. Doesn't include the hardware to mount the back/kick stand, which makes the backstand completely useless, and means I have to buy another separate item, not cool. Otherwise the backplate itself seems nice with a surplus of screws.

Looks great installed although the dimensions aren't 1:1 with the original. In hand, the extremerate piece feels cheaper and lighter than the original switch backplate (with all the elements removed on both). My biggest gripe by far with ExtremeRate shell replacement pieces is that for the exorbitant price, the materials used are very very cheap. I'm not up to speed with my material sciences but the paint used here is not the same I've used on other matte finished products. Specifically, it is very delicate and must be cleaned with caution. DO NOT CLEAN WITH RUBBING AlCOHOL! I got some on the shell when preparing the screen for a protector but quickly wiped it off. Unfortunately some got in under the kickstand and completely chewed up the paint underneath within a few minutes. It is a real shame because ExtremeRate has the market to themselves as you can see from their prices alone, but the durability of their products is so crummy. I would not recommend if your Switch is used frequently in handheld mode and you expect it to look great for very long. ... show more
