I buy a fair amount of eXtremeRate products. I like to customize my controllers. These are high quality and perfectly compatible. The tools they send will work and I’ve used them before, but I do tend to use my own tools. Color consistency is amazing, I have matched multiple consoles for my girlfriend. If you work on electronics, these are super easy to install, if you are a beginner, watch the videos and make sure you have a clean and clear workspace.

This is what I thought I was buying when Sony claimed they had a chroma controller. Sony Failed but ExtremeRate succeeded. It's a bit pricey, but at least now I have a splash of chroma chroma chameleon on my controller! I also like the smooth finish compared to the rough original texture. I might eventually upgrade the entire shell, but for now this trim piece was super easy to install and gave me a bit of satisfaction. Would definitely buy again. This is the real deal if you want a color fade and smooooth finish.

I purchased this part as well as the upper and lower shell from Extreme because I didn’t want to take a chance that the colors wouldn’t match up correctly if I purchased from various sellers. Unfortunately, in spite of this there is a slight variation of color between the trim and lower parts. Overall, the fit was great and very easy to change out from the white controller I had. That said, I do plan on keeping it. If not for this minor issue, I’d given 5 stars.

These shells are great, I've bought a few so far and they've held up fine. If you're like me and have multiple PS5 controllers it's a great way to break up the regular white/black color scheme on your controllers. Wasn't too sure about the chrome, but I'm happy with it.

Decided to just add the trim piece and complete orange button set to my Grey Camo controller and I’m happy with how it turned out. Very easy to install and the orange really pops against the camo. I had a left over set of Talongames button texture skins I added to the buttons to give them a two tone look and for the texture over the slick buttons
