love this thing. looked kinda gritty and textured in photos but is very very smooth. i like it but if you want more textured grips, this is super smooth almost slippery. worth it though the color shine is true to photo and super iridescent. seller has youtube videos on how to take controllers apart and put these plates on, made taking the panels off look easy. thought i was gonna snap the plastic but the side panels snap in so it sounds crackly when you take it off. fits like a glove and i love it. might switch out side panels eventually back to original panels for a better grip, getting the faceplate only version they sell might be a good idea if youre worried about the texture. really appreciate the little screwdriver and set of screws, i used the original screws but its nice to have extra on hand. btw in the instructional video there was no sticker on the inside, behind the battery. i had a sticker covering it but you can slice a little hole where the screw is, it dents in and gives way so you dont have to peel it all off to get to the middle screw. just poke a hole and snip a little out to get to the screw.

Very smooth! SuperB to install! (eXtremeRate - Best Brand for controller parts! Or addons!) All you gotta do is pop off the back handle plates, take out the screws and the front will just pop off, nothing holding it but the screws, and to make it easy, all you gotta do it flip it upright after taking out the screws, the top shell will come off and the new one plops right on. Reverse what you did with the new and boom, you’re good to go! Remember this is the item that comes with the top shell AND back handle plates. The other one that’s only 13.99 only comes with the top shell. Hope this helps!

Absolutely perfect quality. No air bubbles in the paint, and its tough plastic. Not the cheap stuff on series x. Here's what you need to know. The included pry is flimsy. I used a flathead screwdriver. Just be gentle with wedging. The faceplate is easy to do. The button are hard. It will take a considerable amount of time if you're a novice like me. If your perfectly fine thumbstick, sticks after disassembly DON'T panick. It will likely work when you reassemble like mine did. Xbox series x and one x controllers are harder to unscrew than the one s. Those controllers have awkward bottom screw holes. This is not a race, so if you feel yourself losing patience, walk away. Don't try to foce things. I ended up scuffling one of the controllers trying to pry off the backing. Xbox series x was the hardest to pry off out of all 3 I did. All buttons set perfectly, just as the manufacturer had it. If yours doesn't, its defective. I've done 3 controllers with 0 issues. The end results are worth the hardship ahead. This is not easy as so many claim, but it isn't incredibly hard. It's somewhere in the middle depending on what you change. Button are hard, because you have to literally rebuild your own controller. The faceplate, thumb stick, and dpad are fairly simple. Hardest part is prying off the pieces. See my Xbox series x, one x project scorpio, and one s controllers in the pictures below! Best of luck. You can catch the full video by looking up Quantum tv on yt. I highly recommend this.

Extremerate makes high quality shell replacements for most controllers so I was not worried about the quality it comes with a tr9 screw driver for the screws needed to complete the replacement and also a pry tool which is also needed in the replacement process. Where I think they lose some points is selling from Amazon and Amazon being increasingly bad at package management if I was a 3rd party seller I would be pissed when one of my packages got lost in processing. That being said above the general random Amazon issues the shell fits pretty perfectly except around the edges on the back feel as if you changed out the controllers shell it seems like there is no avoiding this unless you get the perfect fit which this is close to. The controller feels smooth and the quality of the plastic is sound I feel as though I can use this controller for longer than before as before the controller only had the sort of grooved or fuzzy feeling plastic Microsoft uses and it bothered me a little to use. But all in all a good shell replacement and if you are looking for a nice quick project buy this and dig in.

Came in a nice box and well packaged. Came w new screws, a screw driver and a tool to remove the old shell. Seems to be decent quality. Very smooth which might mean my kiddo will likely drop it lol but she loves the color.

Absolutely incredible. Not too bad of an install. The hardest part is getting the side plates off but after that its not bad. You just have to make sure the screws are tight otherwise the front plate will be loose

This was a great way to upgrade my xbox one controller. I did not want to spend $70+ on the new Xbox cypher model color so I went with this. This green looks great, the Chief would be proud. Installation is easy, just be patient and use the included tools. Watch youtube. Installation for me was about 5 min total. I got the clear green and performance, grip, and comfort are all equivalent to the stock controller. No change in texture, plastic feels of same quality.
