Higher quality than factory OEM. Starter rope is almost twice as big, nice screw set with both washers attached and a heavier duty built starter drive piece. Don’t waste your money on the cheaper ones that don’t get delivered the next day, just sayin.

I used this to replace a failed one on a MAXTRA Chinese pole saw. While it looks exactly the same as the old one, and the bolts lined up, for some reason it wouldn't engage the cup part on the engine. You might want to check this before you bolt everything together. I solved this problem with 2 thin washers on the shaft behind the cup to move it out a tiny bit and then it worked perfectly. Hope it lasts a while but the fact that these are so readily available pretty much tells you they are not made for longevity .....

This the second recoil starter I have tried. This first (from a different source) was of terrible quality, so I sent it back and bought this one. I appeared to be of better quality, however this proved deceptive. After a little over a month is use (of course beyond the return date) the handle broke. I replaced the handle, but after a few days, the spring came loose inside, and it appears it is bent and cannot be hooked into the center piece. The photo shows what is left of the ogiginal handle and the internal parts including the now-bent spring. Looking for another supplier....

It was a little different then the original one however came with an adapting plate and it fit AND worked perfectly. Loved it, 10/10 and super happy with how well it works

This was purchased for my leaf blower. Seemed like a quality product but unfortunately did not fit my blower and had to be returned.

Took a chance, and it works. Only used the coocheer 5 times before the spring failed. Now I can start it again. Fantastic. The little bolts seem to work as well although I did not use them. All I used was the recoil starter itself. Did not use the metal shim (back cover or whatever it's supposed to be). Interesting part of this is the recoil starter assembly seems to be exactly the same as the one that came with it. Hopefully it lasts longer than the first one. Only difference seems to be the sticker.

Cannot remove cam lock is there a special tool to use to remove this part? So I can put the new metal cam lock on please someone help?
