I bought this to install it on my Vulcan 900 classic. Install took way longer than I expected - but that is not the fault of the product, it's was just user error and unfamiliarity with how to run the cable from the battery to the handle bar. No - I did not take off the tank. Once installed the bike started fine and the charger works fine. The bike makes a slightly different sound when starting but maybe that is because I have both the charger and tender cables connected to the battery now. I can see the red LED just fine under any lighting conditions. The constant amperage reader is great and the charger works perfect! I took away 1 star because it does not fit the handle bar immediately out of the box. It is too large. It comes with a long strip of sticky tape to put inside the handlebar grip, but using the whole thing makes the grip much too small. I had to guess a few times and cut the strip down to make the perfect fit. Each failure meant removing it from the grip so it lost some stickiness. Once it was perfect I cinched it down just right but the screw it comes with is just a little to short to fasten it. I ended up using a few small zip ties instead.

This plugs right into my battery tender plug that is already on my motorcycle. You do need to use the small intermediate extension type plug that comes with it for it to work. It’s nice it shows battery voltage at idle & goes up when riding. Phone charger works great I zip tied the cord along the frame out of the way & attached to my handlebars close to my small carry bag & keep the charger cord in it out of the way. All I need to do when parking for awhile is un plug & plug in my battery tender. Simple quick and easy.

Ordered this USB Charger to put in my Trunk. First I realize it was fairly inexpensive so I had lower expectations. However, it's a fairly solid feeling product. Does not work with ANY other SAE connection have to use the one in the package. Okay not a big deal just changed the way I wanted to install. Install is easy. Opened the package noticed right off something wasn't right. Had the charger and the wires and extension but none of the attachment items. No 3M tape. No handle bar attachment. No bracket. The package had clearly been opened and returned. If I pay new price send me a new product with everything that is supposed to be there. AMAZON China is ruining your business. Lately I can't find any products made in America and the products that I have received as of late are sub-standard even for China products. About done with Amazon!! Fortunately the parts that were not included (except the tape) I wasn't going to use anyway. Good thing I have my own 3M double stick tape. Just really becoming more and more disappointed with Chinese Amazon.

The bracket that attaches the the charger to the handlebars broke PRIOR to actually installing on the motorcycle. This makes to charger useless. I reached out to Amazon/Seller but have not heard a reply. EDIT: the seller stepped up and refunded all my money. There was actually nothing else they could have done to make it any better or easier. Congratulations a job well done!!! Thank You!!!

I bought it to replace one I had on my last motorcycle...which had always worked well. This package comes with a small adapter that switches the positive and negative wires. All I needed to get the old one working was this adapter. Could I have just gone to the battery and swapped the wires...yes. But that's the way it was wired in from the dealer and I didn't know till I used the adapter that they'd made a mistake. Getting that adapter was worth it...and now I have a "spare to use. :) I'm a happy camper.
