The quality and thickness is just fine, I cannot vouch for waterproofing and I hope I never have to put that too the test. Fit really nice and snug on my 12 inch foam mattress with no play like some of the cheaper made mattress protectors and had no issues putting my mattress sheet cover over it. It is always a roll of the dice when ordering bedding items online, especially when manufactured in China, but this product exceeded expectations. First, know what you are buying this is NOT a mattress topper! It is a padded mattress pad with pvc lining for protecting your mattress and creating a waterproof cover to prevent staining it. This will give a slight puff to the top of your mattress but is not all that noticeable of a cusion once covering with your bottom fitted sheet ( deep pocket sheet recommended ) Also be aware it comes vacuum packed and is wrinkled and has slight odor when opening. Washing before using (cold water/gentle) and LOW HEAT tumble drying is recommended to get rid of odor and puff it up a bit. (WARNING: do not use higher setting as pvc inner coating can melt) ALSO I have a FULL SIZE mattress and chose the FULL XL size pad. Glad I did as it fits perfectly with very little fabric remaining. ... show more

I have a young dog who is housebroken, but sometimes she thinks my bed is a toilet anyway. I had a waterproof mattress pad, or so I thought, on my bed. Turns out, it wasn't. So, I ordered this pad. Up until tonight, I didn't know if it truly was waterproof. My dog decided to let forth a waterfall on my bed today!
