I have used 3 different sizes so far and they seem really sharp and made great holes without breaking. But they do provide more than one of the smaller sizes so apparently they might break if not used carefully.

The package arrived with obvious signs of use of one of the bits, 1/4", of course that was the bit I needed. Since I was anxious to start my project I used that same 1/4" bit, 12 " long, and drilled about 50 holes in 3 inch thick redwood, then the hole goes to 2" schedule 40 PVC pipe. The bit worked very well and by the end of the project started to go dull and split the wood at the exit, which it did not do in the beginning of the project. Overall it is a durable brad point bit that worked well for soft wood. It is made in China. For a garden project it was perfect and the price was reasonable. I did not try it on hardwood, but it did well on the PVC which is hard. One star deducted for one used bit out of 12.

If you use these tools for a living, I doubt you're gonna get more than a day or two out of them. But for me, these were just the ticket for a tricky job that needed a long reach. Price was good.

Very nice but the 1/2 inch does not fit my drill bit. No complaints though... maybe my drill is old.

I needed long reach to drill a sideways hole in an electric guitar body. My standard length drills had the truck so close that I risk damaging paint. These worked fantastically for that although there’s a little bit of concentricity wobble, but it did not seem to affect the quality of the holes that I drilled. Overall I am thrilled to have this set even if I will only rarely need them. The price made it manageable
