I had always previously purchased my mattresses at walk-in furniture stores, so obviously I was a bit uncertain about whether or not this bed being shipped to me would turn out to be what I needed. It actually turned out to be even better. The mattress cradles my body without sinking me into oblivion (and I’m a heavier person) while still somehow being firm enough without being hard as a rock. I truly couldn’t recommend it enough. If/when this mattress finally meets its time (which I don’t foresee being anytime soon) I will absolutely be clicking that “reorder” button. This mattress is as described. Its extra firm as stated maybe slightly too firm for me but still comfortable. My only issue is the edges aren't fully supported, so you have to sit fully on the bed and not on the edge or corner or else you will fall off. For the price its a great value. Haven't had a bed in soo long and took a chance on a online bed. Love this bed! It is a medium firm...perfect. sitting on the edges does make it sink in though. Thought id need a mattress pad for extra cushion, but I don't (may get one anyways). Body was a little stiff the first night but thats normal with any new mattress. Cant wait for this baby to be broken in..then it'll really feel like aaahhhh.... ... show more

It is firm but also pretty cheap. You can feel the springs. We had to add a 3” memory foam pad and a bamboo mattress topper. If you have back pain from using a soft mattress this will work for you just be prepared to add extra padding.

First, as others have mentioned, this is not a light mattress, unlike other mattresses in a bag and I have lugged a lot of things myself (6' - 200 Lbs.) in my recent move and this is heavy, bulky if you are alone awkward but it can be done but I recommend two people when moving it while packaged. Other than that, it is great! I put it on a cheap Vivo bed frame but also added some slats for more stability for the sides. Setting it up, once you lay it out and pierce the shipping bag, it starts to expand and there was not any real noticeable off gassing. By the next day it was almost fully expanded and by day 3 it was ready with no odor to sleep on. I went to test it out for a few minutes and ended up sleeping on it for a couple hours and 'tested' it out a couple other times, as well. While the listing is extra firm, it is not like sleeping on a board, it was a normal nice comfortable experience and I did not experience dips, back aches or abnormal heat like the firm mattress in a bag that I have got at my camp. I did not notice any spring noise . Because it is heavy, firm and the sides are relatively supportive, I think a couple would find it comfortable. ... show more
