Pull close had a locking mechanism to keep the bag closed after pulling it tight. Fabric was thick enough to inspire confidence it wouldn't rip. I'm using for storing a spare tire in my trunk (car does not come with or have storage for a spare). Tire is 245/45R19 and I ordered size Medium. I saw the "frequently returned item" warning, but I can't imagine why, other than maybe sizing. This is a good product, and great value for price. Fit: In the video I say my tire is 28'" diameter, but after looking up, it's actually 25.7", so on the low side for Medium and probably could have gone with Small, but Medium is ok. The tightening strap takes up the excess material fine. Quality: I think the quality is quite good. I don't know how it would hold up for tires stored outside or to cover rear-mount spares or stored vehicle tires. But for seasonal tires stored in garage or spares in a trunk, these will last for years. The handle is plenty strong for moving tires around every now and then. Overall, quite pleased and good value. I would definitely recommend and will buy for the two sets of seasonal swap tires on my other cars. ... show more

In the past I have used felt wheel tread covers held on with velcro straps on my studded tires when they are dismounted. I've had trouble with the sharp studs on winter tires scratching things ranging from people to paint jobs on cars. They can scratch things moving around them when they are stacked in the off season, or when they are being moved to and from storage. Certainly they can even tear up the epoxy finish on my hangar floor. These wheel covers are sewn together well, are fairly easy to put on (you have to work at tightening and loosening the shock cord iteratively but it's a lot easier than my custom solution which is going in the garbage), and look good. I purchased 4 packs (12) of the 29 - 31.75 for my van and my dually. They fit great on LT245/75R17 and LT235/80R17 tires and the cover on one side is great at protecting the wheel face for pretty alloy wheels. I actually really like the open side for quick identification (I tape wheel position notes for rotation to the inside of the wheels when in storage) as well as a way to pick up a heavy dually wheel by keeping the spokes on the opening side for grabbing. You don't much want to be picking up steel wheels via the nylon strap so much and two hands are pretty much required due to weight. The strap is useful for repositioning the wheels and keeping the cover tighter to the wheel, or even for shifting lighter alloy wheels. ... show more

Nice quality! Great for storing tires. I had 18” tires which size small would have worked but decided to buy the medium so I have option to store my 20” tires in future. Easy to place tires in bag and use drawstring closure. The circumference strap tightens around the tire which is a nice add on. The handle worked well when I carried them. The material is durable. I never had reusable tire bags before, just plastic ones that ripped and didn't keep the off season tires contained properly. So this year I bought three sets of tire bags. For our SUV tires, P245/55R19, I decided to try these Exploreland bags with a cinch strap, almost full enclosure, a handle, and a bungee to close the opening. I was skeptical that the hook and loop adjustable size semi-open tire bags would stay shut when carrying big and heavy SUV tires. We'll, I was wrong. For my purposes these Explore Land tire bags are much worse than the hook and loop style "wrap around" tire bags. The cinch strap needs one or two more "guides" to hold it in place, mine came with the strap twisted many times so I had to cut the end, un thread it, un twist it, then re thread it through a very cheap plastic buckle. The bungee is difficult to tighten. The whole setup isn't very satisfactory -- a big awkward bag. So unless you really want almost full tire containment you should get the easier to use, better constructed, and cheaper "wrap around" style bags. ... show more

Great for storing winter tires. I also keep one in my trunk next to my spare. After changing tire, I can cover it until I have it fixed. No rolling around and destroying my trunk with dirt and rocks. Pretty nice.
