Evolution annular cutters save time and energy when compared to twist drills. By cutting only the periphery of the hole, annular cutters produce a reamed, finished, burr-free hole. I purchased these bits from the warehouse at roughly half the price of new, described as very good condition. Upon receiving them I immediately noticed the 5/8 bit was missing the pilot pin and had some discoloring and felt noticeably less sharp than the other bits. I can only assume the original purchaser had a project, failed to use sufficient coolant and returned the bits. The 9/16 bit had some residual “project metal” on it but appeared to be in good health as did the remainder of the set. I will keep this set and run it as is but just be prepared for a surprise when purchasing “amazon warehouse” deals. ... show more

I have used two of the cutters from the set and they both performed perfectly. Make sure you buy/have several 1/4" standard bits so you can drill the required pilot holes.
