In the winter, with heaters on all the time, my hair gets so dry. I keep looking for conditioner that doesn't have some dreadful smell, but will make my hair behave. The smell is important - I get migraines, and like 95% of the 2 Billion other people who get migraines, I have a super sensitive sense of smell. So a manufactured fragrance can be a trigger (an essential oil, like eucalyptus, can mitigate). This product has a slight scent. I notice other reviewers love the smell, and I can't say that it was one I fully embraced - especially since, for the conditioner to work, you need to leave it on your hair for two full minutes. But it's not horrific, or unpleasant - it's just a bit of a manufactured product smell. And, it left my hair feeling moisturized and healthy, not just on the first day, but on the second day - which means that even after one night of sleep, my hair was looking healthy without additional products thrown on it. Amazing. So this product works for me. I'm also glad they are listed by PETA as a company that does not test on animals. However, they don't use the correct PETA logo for participation. There are many, many companies out there - sold on Amazon and elsewhere - that claim they participate, use a fake logo, and hope you don't verify so they don't get caught. Making up a logo, instead of using the market-recognized PETA logo, just adds to the confusion. If you work with PETA or Leaping Bunny, take advantage of what they offer and help consumers recognize the commitment your company has made. I was ready to shake my mane, as the product says, but instead I had to shake my head at that customized cruelty-free logo. I have baby fine hair that's been seriously damaged from repeated highlights. Whenever I try to use a moisturizing conditioner specifically formulated for damaged hair, it ends up weighing my hair down and leaving it looking flat and greasy. Since I love the EVO soaps, I thought I'd give their The Therapist Hydrating Conditioner a try, even though I wasn't sure it would be right for me. First of all, this stuff smells absolutely amazing. Looking at the ingredients, I don't think it contains any artificial fragrance, so I have no idea where the scent comes from, but it's absolutely lovely and it lingers on my hair even after it's dry. In terms of efficacy, this isn't as moisturizing as I thought it would be. It has that thin lightweight consistency of an old school "cream rinse" and doesn't leave that tell-tale slippery coating on my hair after I rinse. While it does give my hair nice body and a bit of shine, it really doesn't smooth out the super dry brittle ends. Overall, it actually works pretty well for me, but if you're looking for a truly deep conditioning treatment product, this probably won't deliver. ... show more

I love the smell of this EVO conditioner!!!! I washed my hair 3 hours ago, dried it, and then ran the straighter through it and it stills smells amazing. I cant put my finger on the scent, but I would not say that it smells like a normal conditioner. I ordered this product b/c I LOVE EVOs FABULOSO purple shampoo for blondes. I figured if that product was sooo amazing that this 1 would probably be a great find as well. u only get 1 fl oz in this $6.00 bottle, but its nice to try out something b4 u spend a lot on a bigger size... u never no, u might not like what u wasted ur money on. I used an Aussie stripping shampoo b4 I used this product to make sure my hair was as clean as it could get b4 I used this conditioner. I used 1/2 the bottle on my super long, very thick dark brown with blonde highlighted hair. I love when I use a condoner that allows me to run my fingers through my hair when its wet with any knots. the only thing I didnt love about this product was the price of $3 a wash. thats a little pricey, but now I know that I can order a larger bottle for the future and I will be happy with the results. my hair looks and feels great. Got this size to sample the product and will definitely be purchasing more of this brand! It is very hard for me to find products for my fine graying hair, that have enough conditioning power without weighing my hair down or just too much product. This one is great! Made my hair silky soft without build up. My only complaint was the travel size was not very much product at all for me. But, will be getting the full size for sure! ... show more

This was fun to try but overpriced for this teeny tiny little sample size! It felt nice when applied, but my naturally curly hair seemed a little lazy and tired after I used this. It does have "cones" in it, so curly girls will not want to use this if they are avoiding those. My hair was soft and somewhat shiny looking but it just relaxed my curls into beachy waves. This doesn't work well with my hair but I liked the smell and it was fun to test it. ... show more

This is a lightweight hydrating conditioner. It's more of a thicker gel consistency than creamy like most hydrating conditioners. It smells like a nutty/cocoa butter. It rinses out easily and once I got my leaves in in and my hair was dry it looked hydrated and happy. It didn't last too long and I needed to add some more moisture to it. ... show more
