  • Amazing Power Supply for the Price!
EVGA is known for making quality products, and the EVGA SuperNova 1300 G+ is no exception! It's an exceptional performing power supply, especially for the price. I purchased this from Amazon when it was on sale for $199.99 and now currently own three of these (I bought two directly from EVGA). For what you're getting at that price, I couldn't be more pleased. Pros: - Price - Fully Modular - Sleeved Cables - 10 Year Warranty - Minimal Coil Whine - 100% Japanese Capacitors - Quiet 135mm Fan w/ ECO Mode - Excellent Performance & Voltage Regulation - Plenty of Cables for a Variety of Builds & Applications Cons: - 4 of the 6 PCIe Cables are Single 8-Pin (6+2) - As Stated Above, Only Includes Two Dual 8-Pin (6+2) PCIe Cables - None. My EVGA 1300w G+ PSU's Have Been Running Flawlessly Under Constant Load I highly recommend this PSU. You simply can't go wrong with EVGA. Note: I read through some of the One-Star Reviews. My experience with this power supply doesn't at all reflect their claims (PSU exploding, catching fire, destroying PC, etc.). I can't say that any of those events didn't happen, but I'm usually a bit skeptical when a review ends with "Don't EVER buy EVGA! Go with X brand(s) instead!" I've personally owned close to a dozen EVGA power supplies throughout my lifetime. I've only had to RMA one after it kept powering off after 6-7 years of continuous use, which was an 850w G2 that EVGA discovered was faulty. They quickly replaced it with an 850w G3. This was about 2-3 years ago, and there have been no issues since the RMA. EVGA's Customer Service and RMA process is among the very best in the business. ... show more

  • Does everything it says, well built, lots of cables, but lack new 12VHPWR
This is a very good PSU, but rather long so make sure your case can fit it. The 1300W should be enough for any build in late 2022/early 2023. Fully modular with tons of cables and well built, feels truly solid. Quiet, too. Sadly, it's not ATX 3.0, which if you're spending this much on a power supply, is what you want to have. If you don't care about the new connector (you should, though), then this is five stars. Loses one star for lacking ATX 3.0/PCIE 5.0, but through no fault of the PSU itself, it was simply designed a few years ago, before these standards were finalized. ... show more

  • This thing is a BEAST!
This PSU is simply great! And you just cant beat the price for a 1300W PSU. The cables are all high quality cables and nicely wrapped in cable covers. It is very quiet! It has an eco mode which really works. It has a ton of open power ports. It comes with 4 single 8 pin VGA cables and 2 double 8 pin VGA cables. That way you have enough to run a single 8 pin connector cable for each power connector on a 30 series card if you want. It also has plenty of SATA connections if you are using control commanders to power fans and RGB. Make sure you register it with EVGA when you get it, so you wont have any problems with warranty if something should happen. ... show more

  • The LOUDEST coil whine I have ever heard
My pc: i5 13600k pro z690 ddr4 RX 6950 XT 32 GB 3600 ram 2TB 850pro m.2 Psu: First this product, then replaced by RM1000x This is such a shame that I am having to write this review, but I want to be able to help someone else who may be experiencing what I did with this PSU. I got it on sale for $189.99, and I was so happy, because I thought I wouldn't have to purchase another power supply for 6-10 years and the price for a 1300w Gold rated, while also being a brand most people have a lot of trust in, I was sold the moment I saw it in my search. This was for an entirely new build with components listed above. So excited, I built my first computer, got windows loaded up and everything and the moment windows loaded fully, there the sound was. The most annoying, migraine inducing squeal of a scream I have ever heard. Did some research and that led to the majority of people pointing towards the graphics card as the culprit, and I was devastated. I also learned coil whine is not a reason to RMA, so the graphics card I got an amazing deal on, was now only available for nearly $400 more than what I paid. I was ready to completely downgrade my GPU, or shell out more money, just to get rid of this unbearable noise. It made noise when under no load, just idle, and everytime I would use my scroll wheel the noise got louder every single time i scrolled. Then when gaming, my goodness it was so loud, not even closed back headphones, volume maxed out could hide the noise, 100% serious. In my research I saw very few mentions of people recommending to replace the power supply to see if that works. I tried so hard to listen to where the sound was coming from, but I just could not say with 100% certainty it was one or the other. So obviously i chose to switch power supply's first as a hail mary effort, realistically not thinking it would change but I had to at least try. Booted my computer with the new power supply, nothing, just the sound of my fans. Played the most demanding game i own Red dead redemption 2 at 4k maxed out settings, only my fans could be heard. I dont even care that i paid the same price for a power supply with 300w less, or that this power supply might not be the best choice in the future with the ever increasing power draw of latest components. The unbearable screeching squeal noise was gone, and in turn i also got back my sanity. As far as I am concerned, this product nearly ruined my first ever time building a computer, that is a sound that no man should have to listen to, especially with how much money they have spent to build the computer. I know this is a unit to unit basis type thing, but there has got to be a way this company can test each psu for this noise before packing it up for sale. so TLDR If you have this power supply in your system and you are experiencing coil whine of any kind. Before you go and change your GPU out, try a different power supply first, that is all i needed to do and it went from unbearably loud coil whine that could be heard in the next room, to absolutely zero coil whine with a different PSU. I hope this helps someone! ... show more

  • I got unlucky with this Unit, but repalced by Amazon/EVGA.
Out of every single build, this unit was the only one with massive coil whine while on load. From a 650 to a 750, 850, 1000 and two 1300 watts, this one was the bad one. Need to buy a different one now. All EVGA. Dont get me wrong, EVGA are good, excellent not this one. Amazon replaced the unit and now no more whine noise. Perfect, Thank you Amazon and EVGA ... show more

  • Cost effective, didn't explode.
My two requirements were 1.) Not exploding and 2.) Fitting in my chassis. This did both of those things. I would add, however, that it is somewhat large and you should check if it will fit in your case. I went for the Corsair 5000D and had to move the hard drive bay to the furthest position to fit it in with the cables (and it was still a tight squeeze). ... show more
