I've had this for a week now. Performance-wise.. it's not all that much faster than my 1080FE was, but I am really loving the integrated water block and radiator. It runs very quiet compared to other air-cooled video cards I've had in the past. I've played Control with RTX turned on, and while this card isn't quite powerful enough for Ray Tracing at 4k (no cards are yet I don't think), it can do 1080p ray traced at 60 frames without even breaking a sweat.     • Great thermal characteristics - runs cool under heavy load
The good: * Due to liquid cooling the card runs at 50C and 178W under heavy load. While the single fan can be noisy, I have not seen it running higher than 50%, as it does not need to go higher. Concerns: * Price/performance is not great. I would have bought RTX 2070 Super, which is significantly cheaper, but that card was out of stock due to high demand. * The liquid cooling sometimes makes gargling noises when the card is hardly used - it is not loud but may be annoying for some users. I switched from 6 year old AMD card which was starting to overheat and auto-throttle its performance. When I loaded this one to the brim, I was pleasantly surprised that it held the temperature so low. Note that I am not using it for gaming, but for long running computations. The computations typically run for days, keeping the GPU loaded above 80% (oscillating between 82 and 95) and the memory controller stays at ~40%. My older AMD card would typically run at 95-105C at such load, while this one stays steady at 51C with way lower noise level. That said this card costed 20-30% more than RTX 2070 Super for very little performance gain (less than 10%). I bought it because the 2070 version was out of stock everywhere, obviously being a better value for the money. ... show more

    • Great card for gaming, pump noise could get annoying
Had a 1080ti and sold it, so I already knew the performance I should expect by buying this card. I use it for gaming and it does it very well. The noise level was a slight issue, I saw some people claiming that only the older models of this card suffered from excessive pump noise, so I figured I'd give it a shot. But I can confirm that my card has the same issue, thankfully where I place my computer I don't hear the noise at all most of the time. ... show more

Long ago when the grass was just sprouting on mother earth I was an overclocker. I have since learned to just buy better cpu's and gpu's to support my gaming habit. So when I tell you this card will not go over 53 Celcius, I am referring to hardcore gaming. Looking for every option to turn on in the graphics of the game. Looking for every option to turn on in Nvidia control panel. Playing every game maxed out and realizing I really wasn't missing out on that much with my 960gtx except now there is no lag. If there is lag, it is a commonly shared experience talked about on forums (Modern Warfare cut scene stutter). When I installed it, I had to mod my case a little for the plumbing. Took about a minute with a pair of aviation snips. Since my cpu radiator has push-pull fans I made sure to do the same for the gpu. Make sure the fans are working in concert to move the air in the correct direction (out of the case) A single fan in the front panel of the case pushing air inside is adequate. I also upgraded the power supply with an 800 watt I had in my parts bin from pc's I destroyed overclocking. I am not a pro builder and it took me an hour to make that crappy looking cable routing possible. If you buy a power supply, get a modular one so you don't have all those extra wires to hide. Intel I-7 6700k @ 4 ghz stock 4 core, 2x8gb ripsaw ddr4 memory, ASUS Z170k motherboard, 40" TCL led tv. Codemasters F1 2019-180 fps Modern Warfare (2019) 115fps full Ray Tracing The rest of my games are around the same or faster. Asseto Corsa Competizione i will do later and add results. I do not have any whining noise that others mentioned, just a whisper-quiet machine that stays cool no matter how long I play. If you have not considered water cooling your machine, i highly recommend it! My pc is old with new parts so anything with more then 4 cores or faster memory is going to be even faster then mine fps wise. ... show more

    • Dead after less than a year

I've had this card for just under one year. For the most part, it ran great. It played most games at high to ultra graphics settings with no problems. It was relatively quiet. Temperatures were consistently low, even under load. Then a few weeks ago, I started getting repeated blue screens due to video memory errors. After trouble shooting and trying a variety of solutions in software (including reformatting my machine), I removed the card. The RGB faceplate had come unglued and came off the video card. After replacing the card with another, no more errors or blue screens. Pretty certain I have a dead card now. I'm not sure if the faceplate coming off had anything to do with the card's failure, but it doesn't inspire confidence to have your card fail and then notice that the card is literally falling apart as well. Luckily my new card is an upgrade (3080), so I'm not going to be buying a new card for a while, but I will stay away from this kind of card from EVGA in the future. Super disappointed. ... show more

    • Too loud!
This card is innovative. I think however it needs a little bit more work before it's ready for prime time. The biggest problem is that the pump is very loud and by many accounts louder than it needs to be to do its job. You can mod this to make it quieter, but at that point perhaps you should just buy a cheaper GPU and add your own water cooler. EVGA could make this pump speed controllable. They may have reasons for not doing this (the AIO is not their design, doesn't support PWM, so it would need a new control circuit on the PCB, etc), however if they were to undertake this, it would be hands-down the best card on the market for any small case / silent gaming builder. ... show more
