  • Excellent performance. Recommended.
Style: SC2 Size: Real Boost Clock: 1670 MHz
Pros: + Best high performance card on the market for the price (as of 2017). + 50FPS to 60FPS average in 2160p ultra settings. (Game dependent. On one monitor.) + 70FPS to 80FPS average in 2160p ultra settings in SLI. (Again, game dependent. On one monitor.) + 150+ FPS in 1440p or 190+ FPS in 1080p in ultra settings. (Pretty much any game! On one monitor.) + 30% better performance then its GTX1080 predecessor. + Backed by EVGA. Excellent build quality and one of the best customer service! Cons: - Expensive! - SLI is subject to law of diminishing returns. - Side exhaust heat sink will vent heat into case. Overall: The performance of this card is outstanding! One of these things will mow through any game at 1080p around +200FPS. Even 1440p is no sweat for this card with an average of 150+ FPS.. Only when you play at 2160p, you will see the frame rate drop down out of the triple digits! Even then you will still see 50 to 60FPS average and that is running in ultra settings. However, as stated above, SLI is subject to law of diminishing returns. I run two of these in SLI and most games will net you a 20% to 30% FPS increase on average. In some games, you can get 0 performance boost over a single card and in some other rare situations, you can get worse frame rate in SLI then just running a single card. Game dependent. The only other thing is these cards have side exhaust so it will pump heat into your case. With good air cooling, you should run these in the 80 degree Celsius range. However, I had to have the side of my computer off to maintain that temperature. All-in-all, these cards are awesome and I don't have problems in 4K. I would definitely recommend. ... show more

  • 9.9/10 Overall Amazing. Slightly noisy and large as expected.
Style: FTW3 Size: Real Boost Clock: 1683 MHz
Quite an amazing card, does everything as advertised. The EVGA FTW3 is supposedly the best aircooled 1080ti out there in terms of keeping cool, however I disagree. I have an NZXT H440 with 3 I take fans and 3 exhaust fans (one of which is an exhaust fan for a liquid cooler for my CPU) and I believe that this card has reached 80 degrees Celsius when be used to full potential, but the fan control is rather hard to use on Evga precision x software, so instead of complicated things I selected an aggressive option for cooling and linked all 3 fans together. Although slighlyy noisy, it keeps the card below 65 at all times. Keep in mind this card is NOT meant for optimal sound quality, it is based around performance, so if you yearn for quietness this is not your card to buy. Even with automatic fan control, they get slightly noisy. Above about 70 percent RPM, you can definitely hear this card. And i5 4th gen CPU or lower (or similar AMD CPUs) will bottleneck the 1080ti, even on 1080p. My it 4690k has about a 10% bottleneck, so i recommend an i5/i7 6th gen or higher. Still, amazing card, I have the FTW 3 with fully controllable LEDs which offer a nice light show if you're that type of person. Crazy power, even with the bottleneck I run every game max settings and some games I run renderscaling up to 1440p or 4k with about 40-60fps. Overall, highly recommended. Unfortunately amazon does not know the definition of 2 day shipping and failed 2nd grade math, so instead of 2day i got 4 day. Better than 7 days though. ... show more

  • #NVIDIAConspiracy
The card is great I am not going to get salty' and say its bad just because of its hyper inflated price point. I know people are saying its because of mining but I also find it funny and extremely convenient that both manufactures and distributors are also "enjoying" these "GREAT PRICES" and playing it off like its all because of those damn Crypto Miners??? My you know what, I can make a bet that somehow someway someone is getting paid a whole lot of money and they are very happy about it. Yeah, I bought the card; recently at Computex 2018 I was watching NVIDIA'S presentation after months of patiently waiting, hoping they would announce a new line up of gpu's so that prices would maybe drop a little. That along with the crypto market taking a huge crash for almost six month now, I thought it would be realistic. But NOTHING??? If crypto has been down that much for so long and the profitability of mining being so low how can prices still be this high??? Both manufactures and distributors need to STOP this, its become too obvious whats going on. Somebody's holding out I can bet there is a pill of these things somewhere in a warehouse just waiting to be sold so it cant be supply and demand either. So yeah, I bought the damn card because I have a system Ive been building with all parts except a GPU so I could just keep waiting around until 2020 when prices drop. BUT this is the last time NVIDIA takes my money NO MORE!!! If you REALLY REALLY REALLY need a gpu then buy this card it is really freakin' good and temps are extremely impressive at high demand BUT if you already got a decent gpu then hold off until NVIDIA stops being so greedy, TRUTH! ... show more
