The 3090 still gives you the best value for money for home-lab AI uses, and probably gaming as well, given that the next model to consider is the 4090, and even used ones will cost you twice as much. What you need, more than anything, is VRAM, and the 3090 gives you 24 - the only way to get more in a home setup is to buy a 5090 at an insane price. So the bottom line - if you want AI performance, get an old 3090. And if it's a refurbished one, with a one-year warranty, all the better - worth the price. The one I got works well, just like a new one (not that there are new ones any more...) As for the specific model - this one has the advantage of being narrower than most others, which makes it a great canduidate for dual-gpu setups, or small-form gaming builds. ... show more

    • Excellent product
This is my first video card I've ever gotten and I was able to go through the installation process fairly easy--albeit with YouTube instructional videos. The card fit well, works properly, and I got it at a very affordable price. Very satisfied.
