  • Very well packaged for protection by EVGA ans from Amazon, easy to install.
The GPU comes very well protected against careless treatment of the packages and static. Also come in a well protected package from Amazon. For those that are not used to install their own hardware, the manual could be more specific for this GPU, and not generic for a bunch of GPUs of different lenghth and number of fans. In my case, though, I liked the ease of installation, very intuitive and mistake proof guides. However, buyers must be aware that it will use 3 expansion slots of your case backpanel. It tookme about 5 minutes to disconnect the PC, open the lef panel, remove the 3 slots covers, insert the GPU and connecting the Power Supply cable from the PSU to it. I had previously downloaded from EVGA the lasted Nvidia drive for this model and quickly installed it. For gamers, mind that on the Nvidia web site there are two types of controllers: Gamre Ready Driver and Studio Driver, and I think that if you have a G-Sync Compatible Monitor, you'll need the Game ady Driver in order to enable the G-Sync feature ins this GPU. I do not use my PC for gaming, so thats how far i can comment on that. I'm more into fotograph, audio and video edition and online teaching, so I use the Studio Driver. ... show more

  • Paid $210 for this in 2019.
GPU has held up wonderfully, I would never pay $699 for it but was definitely worth the $210 I paid in May 2019.

  • GTX 1660.
Okay, so let's start from packaging, then to performance (preformance? Idk.) So, this comes in a bubble wrapped envelope which isn't good at all. The box had two very tiny dents in the top corners, but that was it. The gpu is actually very nice. It's been pushed on stock speeds and has not touched 75C for me. The performance is better than a 1060 6GB, but not a 1070. For me at least. I even set the fan speed to 100% and it wasn't even loud! It was audible, but not too loud. Now eith headphones, you'd have to be playing nothing to hear the fans at 100%. All in all, good price, good gpu. If you're concerned with packaging though, just get it from newegg. They ship their stuff properly. Other than that, worth it. ... show more

  • Best of medium level graphics card
Tried rx570 and it had issues, so had planned to go with rx590 instead. But decided to look at other options in the same just over $200 price range and found this card was generally better (less power and hear and yet generally 10% better performance than rx590). The rx590 has 8gb ram but this 6gb is enough unless you plan on doing 4k graphics (neither card runs it at high end for 4k). For 1440 graphics its not bad and the rx590 may be right on par. But at 1080 which most use today, 6gb is plenty. For most games this card will beat an rx590 card. Note: thebreason unreturned the rx570 4gn card wasn't randomly crashed...a couple of times in 2 weeks and so decided to return it. This card however hasnt had 1 hitch and it's been a month now. ... show more

  • Solid Card for a decent price
I have an HTC Vive and was running a GTX 1050 Ti and while it worked well once a game loaded I could not visit many Steam VR rooms through the Steam VR Home App, I would constantly get flashing scenes or see the VR environment have issues with tracking. I bought this card since it appeared to be a strong update with more ram and a much faster GPU. I've been extremely happy, all my VR complaints are gone, Steam VR rooms work great and I no longer have tracking issues. I recommend this card for anyone who needs a budget Gaming and/or VR capable card. ... show more

  • Excited for this card... but confusing packaging! (Update!)
Haven't installed this card yet (will come back and update my review then), but I wanted to point out the packaging weirdness. The outer box clearly says RTX 2060, but the sticker on it has the correct part number for the GTX 1660 XC. The box's outer seal was also opened. The card inside has the same 1660 sticker (same serial number), and I verified on the EVGA website that it is indeed a 1660. Did someone run out of the right boxes when packaging these? We may never know! Fantastic looking card, though, can't wait to use it! UPDATE: I was contacted by EVGA and we confirmed that indeed it was just a packaging mistake. The card is awesome! ... show more

  • This card is kind of dumb
Only reason i say its dumb is because its a 3 slot card in a mini itx length, which doesnt go together at all, and its the same price aa the full length card just get one of those theyre better in every way, thermals, noise , they click a little better cause theyre cooler and so on...

  • Satisfaction 'nuff said
I am not one to go into technical specifications event though my career field is computers. I am results driven. My 2012 Intel 2nd Gen CPU was slow and my NVIDIA 550 TI that were SLIed could not handle the graphics of the newer games I play. Installation of the GTX 1660 was a breeze and I went from lagging to keeping up with the fps and having a pleasant experience playing my PC video games. ... show more
