All of the weights are accurate, so these fulfill their purpose. That being said, unlike the color-coded versions, these have a strong chemical smell, and also left a greasy mark on my floor. In addition, if one clicks "pair" when ordering, the price more than doubles, so you definitely want to add them to your cart individually. After searching for weeks to find a great product without breaking my budget, I was blown away by the craftsmanship and quality of these rubberized bumper plates. There's no mistaking that one, sure fire way to test the purity of rubber is the smell test. All rubber products stink when new, but setting that product in direct sunlight with dry up the chemicals that create that odor. The best rubber in production will be odor free after just a few hours outside in direct UV light on a hot day. These plates only spent 1 afternoon leaning against my car tires in my driveway and they literally have zero noticeable odor and are now back on a weight rack in my garage gym. I've seen some rubberized plates take weeks to be gym ready without causing headaches or nausea. Super tough and durable. Will order more. ... show more

These things are a great value, but ONLY if you buy them one at a time; DO NOT BUY THE OVERPRICED PAIRS. The materials are solid, they're easy to slip on and off the bar, and they absolutely do the job. Just get ready for some intense rubber smell. Some folks might actually like it; it smells like a dank gym before the dankness even happens. But others might be put off by it. Plates leach a horrible black substance. It is not rubber as we know rubber to be. They advertise rubber plates though. The leaching chemicals are probably not going to damage or disrupt your hormones though. Yeah right, whatever.

The quality of the packaging alone made me realize this was going to be a good purchase. Both plates arrived in perfect condition and the price point was amazing. The inner diameter was exactly as specified, allowing a perfect fit with my bar. I also checked the weight of the product and it was nearly precise to the 45lb described on the plate itself. Fractionally above the 45lb, at 0.9% variation. Having some other plates that have 10% variation, below weight - this is pretty fantastic. Will certainly purchase again! ... show more
