Got a PS5 recently and remembered how much I loved the old Hot Shots Golf. When I realized this game was the same developers, immediately got it. Looks great on the PS5 and the load times are very good. So many awesome details and just a great game as usual. So happy I got it.

The product arrived in perfect condition. Everybody's Golf has to be one of the best golf games for this console generation. The single player is pretty simple, you play as your own customizable character entering in tournaments to earn xp. Once enough xp is collected you go up against a boss in your current rank. There are 3 bosses per rank and each boss comes with challenges. For example one boss may challenge you to 9 holes using only specific types of clubs, or another boss could challenge you to play but you each only have a few seconds to make your shot. It starts off easy with rank 1 and progressively becomes more difficult as you rank up (max rank is 7). You will unlock new courses, clubs, balls, and characters for you to play as or their clothes and body types for you to customize your character with. Your character will also gain individual skill points for each club. A great drive can increase your driver skill and long putt would increase your putter (same idea for each club type). This game also has really fun mutiplayer both online and local. You can also choose cup sizes, mega or tornado cup making it bigger or with a tornado that will suck the ball in closer from farther away on the green, and tiny cup (the name says it all) to make for an extra challenge. Like i had mentioned earlier this is one of the best golf games for this console generation and is the best golf game on the ps4. Everybody's Golf brings the zany fun of the traditional hot shots golf experience to the PS4 in a bright, fun, and exciting manner. New to the franchise appears to be increase challenge and increased customization making it a game that rewards you with getting better over time. I found that it has so many customization options that I really end up repeating events just because I want all the available outfits. I also found it fun to just sit back and play while relaxing. Its nice to get away from some of the more hectic and intense experiences of other modern games in this day and age. I do like how challenging the game can be at times, where it becomes simply more than having the clubs that can hit the farthers but rather actually choosing the right places to put your ball, how to make the ball not roll or bounce as much, and increased reward for making you sure you get a perfect or really near perfect impact. I will say it was annoying at first how sensitive the perfect impact/near perfect impact thing is (simply if you miss it a bit the fall goes off track and this can be tragic in some of the more trickier locations). I also like the new rules in some of the vs matches to unlock characters, for example +1 to the stroke count for getting in the rough or +1 to the stroke count for landing in the bunker, it adds challenge and the computer player is actually not impervious to these rules. I love it. I also like the online aspect where it makes you want to just play a 9 hole round everyday for the daily reward, its simple and often fast enough to do in 20 minutes so its not a huge commitment like some other games are. Overall this is a wonderful game and one I will play for years. Ive already spent more than 50 hours in and have yet to get bored. I sometimes regret not playing it on the days when Im too busy with real life commitments. ... show more

I loved hot shots golf for my ps2 and thought Iโ€™d get the sequel for my ps4. There are a lot more options for play and the graphics are better than the ps2 version but itโ€™s not exactly the same. The story line is different. It plays the same though and itโ€™s easy to learn. I donโ€™t play video games much because Iโ€™m an old guy that finds todayโ€™s games really difficult to learn. If you want to get an old father or grandfather interested in video games and he likes golf, this may be the best game for him. ... show more

I started playing on the PS3 when it became the game everyone I knew would get competitive about. At first I thought that I'd have little use in getting good at a golf game but before too long I got sucked in. Anyhow I'm not into details so I'm sure there are better reviews but I'll just say everything I liked about it before is still in this game. It's just fun is all I can really say about (I don't play PS4 games all that much but here's my list of games I've gotten addicted too: FIFA '16, Black OPS Nazi Zombie, and GTA V). I've only played one tournament but despite having to relearn the swing system (I had gotten used to the true swing which it appears to be gone) I was able to win the first tournament. I can say that some of the new stats are cool and make the game a little bit addictive as you chase improvement. I also noticed that the putting system changed some with regards to a straight line you used to be able to draw from your aim but maybe I just don't remember the controls for it. Anyhow this is still a great game and I'm looking forward to getting good again and taking my talents to the internet to thumb on some Japanese millennials (Oh that is another thing, this game is very obviously a reluctant release in the states as they don't bother to dub over the voice over and just give a print out of what is being said). Good stuff, get this if you used to play it as a kid or want to try something fun. ... show more
