This is a well made small dehydrator. The size was exactly what I was looking for. Still can handle a nice amount of food through multiple layers but then its size lets you store it easily. It easy to use and it does do the job, but, you get what you pay for. It doesn’t seem to cook everything evenly unless you alternate the trays from top to bottom once or twice. If you don’t do it you may get really dried jerky or fruit on the bottom and softer, but still dried, on top. It is good for texture variety if you are going for that ;) but I doubt that’s the case. It does take about 6 hours- 7 hours to make beef jerky and 3+ for some fruits at max temperature. Everything I prepared tasted pretty good (no weird plastic flavor or anything like that). ... show more

I don't know how this item got any bad reviews at all! I got this to make beef jerky for my dogs, and it works like a charm! So simple to use, load the trays, plug it in and push the button. So easy! Not hard to clean at all, I am very happy with this this machine, small, but holds a lot, takes up little counter space, my pups love it too! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Update: well apparently this machine is only good for about 7 uses. It is now making a horribly loud noise, louder than my dishwasher, dryer, washing machine. Works great but cleaning the base after anything that drips (ex: jerky) is not fun. Would be great if the base disassembled for cleaning. Jerky turned out amazing but cleaning after a nightmare. ... show more

Loved everything about the workings of the device Packing could be better as one of the plastic trays was broken during shipment. I was using that tray but did find a small piece of plastic on the tray below so will not use that tray again. So my unit is 20% less surface area than before . A little disappointing ... show more

    • OK Dehydrator - drying racks are brittle plastic (mine came with 2 trays with broken legs)
The product is OK - I received the product with broken plastic legs on two trays. I fixed the defective trays myself with super glue deciding to keep and not return the product. Customer support would not replace the broken trays because I failed to snap a picture prior to my fixing with glue. 3 stars is my score, as there are similar dehydrators on the market that are made with better quality. I shouldn't have fixed the defective trays, and simply requested a replacement. ... show more

I gave this as a gift but they used it the same day they got it and made jerky. It worked really well. It is a little smaller than expected but is great for the value.
